What do you think?
How many holes dose a a straw have?
What do you think?
All the answers are valid.
If the straw is taken as a topological shape it has zero holes, the tube itself is just hollow but being hollow does not denote a "hole" and that hole is a complete illusion.
If the straw is taken as a practical drafting design it has one hole, specifically the hole "bored" into it by design, whether that be by omission of material with a mold in the center or an actual boring. Important because various items are created as hollow cylinders both ways such as with concrete or steel.
If the straw is taken as an object in the simple Euclidian sense it actually has two holes, or rather, two circles, since all objects in the geometric sense can be broken down into the sum of their parts meaning that the cylinder doesn't "begin" and it is actually an infinite number of hollow conic sections, or simply put, a bunch of circles jammed together to form a tube. with only two "true" circles at the ends specifically because the length of the straw is in and of itself completely irrelevant to how one defines a "straw" in this sense.
I'm hungry.
In a proper engineering drawing, a straw would have one hole and one dimension for that hole. Calling out two holes would not only be wrong, it would be redundant and confusing to the manufacturer.
In a drafting class, calling out two holes, or dimensioning both ends would get points taken off.
Also, in topology, a straw is no different than a sheet of paper with a hole in it.
Three. One through the middle, and one at each end.
What?

It really depends on how the straw was made. If it was originally a rod, then it has one hole. If it was a sheet that was rolled and fused, then it has no holes. I can't think of a way that it would have two holes.
One hole that reaches to the other end but wait it never ends the hole never shuts it NEVER ENDS THE HOLE JUST KEEPS GOING WITH NO CLOSURE OH GOD THERE'S INFINITE HOLES IT'S TOO MANY HOLES AAAAAAHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK WHY IS IT INFINITE HOLES OH GAAAAWWWWDD I GOTTA END THEM I GOTTA STOP THOS INFINITE HOLES BY FILLING THEM WITH THE BLOOD OF CHILDREN IT'S THE ONLY WAY
It depends on if you see a straw as a cylinder or a rectangle. If it is a cylinder then it has a hole running through the middle. If it is a rectangle looped around then it has no hole.
First thought was "two of course" but I guess you could say it has one continuous hole as well
a hole is means of a object or space flowing through it so its one long hole... plus one if its a fuilty one which so far im getting more regular lol
There are so many ways to think about this, pointless to speak them all.
I think it's a single hole that reaches the other side
I heard this question too. It's 1 long hole/tube.
One too many because the quality was awful.
A straw has no holes unless its faulty.
It's one long hole open on both sides.
None or it would leak :)
When my mouth gets bored it has 17.
Zero holes, as it's a tube with no holes.
Well in all actuality it only has one long hole
I'd say two. Two holes at two ends.
none its a cylindrical tube
Five
The newest record holder😂
One hole, two rims
One...
