More importantly can you handle it?🤨
yes. My favorite is Thai curry, in general. Though around here they don't really make it very spicy. Every time they ask "1 to 5 spiciness" I always want to say "about 30" so they register I mean it, but it always seems like they would just think I'm joking, so I say "8" instead. It never matters, though, because they still haven't gotten me above what I'd consider a "3". I have had a couple of very solid 3s, and they hit a spot - not 'the' spot, just one that felt good - but they still weren't in the realm of what I'd call "spicy food."
So, I get things like ghost pepper tortilla chips and walk around with a shaker of ground habenero in my pocket for any time I eat a sandwich or something when I'm out. This also only diddles "a" spot, though - long-dried powder just doesn't hit the same as peppers that were still alive before I ordered the dish.Anyway, that's what I get for living in the midwest, I suppose. Meh..

+1 yTo a degree. If it's flavorful I like it. I don't like hot just for the sake of being hot.

I'll get something and my wife will ask if it's spicy. I'll say no (in all honesty). But when she tastes it, her mouth burns bad. LOL
I knew some restaurants that were amazing when I lived in the Los Angeles area. An Indian, a Korean and an Indonesian restaurant in particular. Some Thai restaurants have great panang curry. And some BBQ places are killer, too. Oh, and good Mexican salsas, of course.
The Indian restaurant had me dialed in because I went there a lot on my lunch break. I would order what they called the non-vegetarian thali. The chef knew what I wanted. I even used to go into the kitchen and talk to him.
Their food was delicious. I would eat in my car with my mouth on fire, face sweating, nose running, tears pouring down my cheeks, thinking "This is perfection!"
Like mandyfire98 said, though. Not hot just for the sake of being hot. It has to be flavorful.
Like Korean spicy seafood soup. Super spicy but bursting with flavor.10 Reply- 606 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
+1 yI love it, except my tastes are kind of limited. I’m not a huge fan of Indian food or most of the various Asian cuisines. It’s not that it’s too hot, I guess I just don’t really care for a lot of the spices they use in that part of the world. My lady likes that stuff, and sometimes she’ll get some super hot pepper in something the she got, and I’ll eat that, but the rest of the meal is a pass for me.
Mexican food or Tex-Mex, or some Salvadoran I’ve had…. that’s my sweet (spicy?🤔) spot. If you have some kind of habanero salsa or something, I would like that in my life.
Spicy Foods Guy isn’t my personality or anything, I don’t do it performatively or competitively, but I like a little heat to my food, depending on the meal. Even if I’m getting an Italian sub (shout out to the bygone days when I could get away with eating a loaf of bread stuffed with deli meats and cheese🫡 ), I’ll get the hot pepper spread on it, or get jalapeños in it.

+1 yI'm addicted to spicy food. Spicy stews, spicy stir fries, burritos, etc. My fridge is full of hot sauces, from the lowest spiciness with just Jalapenos, all the way up to Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper ones.
The spiciest thing I have ever eaten was an Indian soup. Was sweating like bloody crazy.10 Reply
+1 yno lol we Swedish people aren't built for it😂 but. I guess mild spice sure but then again very spicy in Sweden is like barely anything in other countries

+1 yYep my tolerance is through the roof, I don't feel mild spice in my mouth, it's like I never added spice when it's mild, my mild will be inedible to many people

+1 yOur food is spicy in general anyway. I cannot stand non-spicy food. I always ask for some additives to make it taste.
Level of spicy is a different matter. Too spicy also hides the actual flavor of food so that depends. Sometimes the food is so bad that you have to add those pickles and spicy sauces to hide that taste.

+1 yNot unless it's a low level of spice, like something you would find on a Doritos potato chip or a Taco Bell sauce. If it's ghost pepper level, I will not like it.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYeah. But that doesn't mean I want THE SPICIEST option (like "devil's anus"🤣). I like my food to have a little bite to it. I think people who need the speciest food are sadistic and do so because they simply have no taste buds.
