How do I stop the cravings to eat for comfort?

I'm in the same boat: I'm an emotional and bored eater.
Best thing I can suggest is keep healthy snacks around and if you absolutely have to snack, go for them first-

Things like high protein (jerky, greek yogurt...), or fruit.

Or distract yourself: go for a walk, play a game, talk to someone... do anything to get your mind off food!

sounds like you need a temporary break from sugary food. then maybe you won't feel cravings.

no it's not. a lot of people can do it. it's not too hard. you're consciously deciding against it. that's what's happening. and if you have that level of honesty with yourself, it becomes infinitely easier to fix it.
