Would you want to participate in a Vegan Thanksgiving?

Maybe. As long as there's a veggie field celebration roast, we're fine. I've had tofurky once and didn't enjoy it as much.
Me too, never again Tofurkey, you just aren't right with the world.
But the field roasts taste good. I've even made the leftovers into a sandwich with mustard, it's good! I also like the plant based black forest ham deli slices. But of course, I eat regular ham now, so maybe not much need for it. But I do question how much of a taste difference there is between plant and regular.
I've been to a vegan's household many times before... as one of my best friends' has been that since the womb, and so is her family... but never for Thanksgivings, lol
and since it is their actual way of life as in, part of their culture... their cooking skills and cuisine are just amazing... and the options seem endless
so I do think I would go to theirs if that ever happens, no problem...
There are some amazing vegan foods I'm sure are out there, but for Thanksgiving specifically I think I need my classics which usually involve some meat.
yes... but I could go without it too at least once... turkey is not my favorite bird, lol
No.
I like mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls, pies.
I'm not sure what vegans don't eat but I'd still want some ham or turkey too.
It's interesting how very little food, Vegans have on their plates.
I'm sure it's probably more, but this was a random picture I found, lol
I don't know 100% what is and what isn't a vegan food.
I like:
mashed potatoes
rolls
green beans
cranberry sauce
gravy
corn pudding
I've been to some gatherings that have had carrots, mac and cheese, pumpkin pie, chess pie, sweet potato casserole.
Which items are vegan and which are not?
@Miristheiss cheese is a vegan sin and even rolls no butter. vej can have cheese and dairy products because not kill the animal.
@strateguy632
Hell no, F that!!!

I definitely would. I am very curious about their food and I want to become a vegetarian soon (as I used to be). Considering this, veganism doesn't seem very healthy. It would be beneficial to try still. and I think it would be a lot of fun to try new tastes.
you want , so just consult a dietician first, have them suggest a healthy menu.
That'd be fine, I'd eat my day's protein beforehand and avoid all xenoestrogens (some are found in soy and flaxseed).
no, but if no meat available, i can compromise if make something else but "it better be shaped like a turkey" captain kirk, star trek year 2265.
I like turkey just fine, but I could honestly enjoy all the side dishes without it. There are plenty of calories to be had without the turkey.
I'm a carnivore, so no, because then I wouldn't eat...
Yes. At least it would be healthy. I am not a fan of food that kills.
kills? beef doesn't kill me. dietician say required meat or cheese daily. they healthy and dietary requirements too.
If a non vegan Thanksgiving killed, there would be a ton of dead people, but that is far from the case. It is a consistent lifestyle of eating greasy, fatty, sugary foods with lack of any exercise, that ultimately kills people, not people simply eating meat or a once a year Thanksgiving dinner.
No, as a european i am totally fine not celebrating Thanksgiving.
I wouldn't like it but I see no reason to not do it if it makes people happy. It's not the kind of food I like but it's probably much healthier than normal so that's good too.
Why? No point in going if I'm not gonna be able to eat anything!
No, merely because Thanksgiving isn't observed in the UK.
Yeah I'm vegan so this is my Thanksgiving every year
no, its gotta be turkey and gravy. Veggies on the side.
Why not? I’m not a vegan but I’ve tried some delicious vegan food.
Fuck no I'm a carnivore. Not a Herbivore. What are you going to eat a Thanksgiving salad?
the indoctrination children film, about time travel turkey suggested pizza instead of turkey but vegan no cheese!
I'm vegan , so he'll yes. My food is actually good and no suffering behind it. I ain't no sheep coward.
Can you imagine drinking wine and munching on carrot sticks when you're lit? Nope... neither can I.
Absolutely not as the food and the people would both suck.
I would join a Vegetarian Thanksgiving, but not a vegan one.
i would participate by bringing real food
Haaaaaa!
I've been vegan before so I definitely would.
What kinds of foods did you have at your Thanksgiving (if you celebrate) when you were Vegan?
Vegan mash potatoes, vegan cranberry stuffing, mustard glazed Brussel sprouts, green beans, vegan caesar salad... they were all side dishes but very tasty nevertheless.
No thanks I'm all set!
i have many many times
If I can bring my own food, then perhaps yes.
No would miss actual turkey dinner
Not even a little bit!
The presence of beer is all that matters
No thanks, lol. I love meat way to much.
No. Absolutely not.
