I mainly wanted to come up with a stupid question for my 60th question.
1.7K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. Nope. I'm an omnivore. I love organic veggies, fruit and meat. I especially love seafood, but I like all kinds of meat.
I think my metabolism needs a certain amount of animal fat and protein. I'm not convinced that vegetarianism is as healthy as a more balanced diet. Plus I love the taste of meat.
The biggest argument in favor of vegetarianism is opposition to animal cruelty. And I agree that factory farming is really, really cruel. That's why my wife and I try to source our meat from farmers who raise and harvest their animals humanely.
I have no ethical qualm against hunting for food, either.
I do share the attitude of some indigenous people who honor and give thanks to the spirits of the animals who sacrifice themselves for the survival of the tribe.
I don't buy into the idea that eating meat is cruel because killing for survival is part of nature. I don't begrudge predators their prey. They aren't cruel. It's just part of the natural order.
I think vegetarians, to an extent, are spoiled on the availability of the wide variety of transported goods that they can buy in stores. Without those, they couldn't survive.20 Reply

1 yNope... not in a million years. I am not big on eating [meat]... but I will have it if I fancy some.
I've got 2 Ferrets who are 'Obligate Meat Eaters'... So me becoming a Vegetarian because it's animal cruelty to eat meat wouldn't really work for me.
Vegan is even more of a no-no. I have a very limited diet (due to poor mental health and trauma), diary products are a mandatory part of my diet.
Vegetarianism and Veganism are not the solutions for the animal cruelty which goes on in the livestock industry.
The reason why that kind of animal cruelty has spun out of control is due to an ever growing world population. Reduce that population, and farming will become sustainable again and that it includes Livestock farming.
But no, no one wants to talk about that... The Establishment needs a big World Population to financially exploit and sent into pointless wars.10 Reply
1.1K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I just don't eat meat at all and I don't drink cow milk.
As for vegetarian not sure if I can be considered that, since I don't eat that many veggies, I mostly eat rice, sandwiches, fries, eggs, sweets, pasta, honey, bread, cereal, certain fruits, smoothies etc.10 Reply
2.3K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. No. I'm an omnivore I need meat, fish and diary for a balanced and healthy diet. Veggies, especially industrially produced ones aren't that healthy at all.

I'm here on Girls Ask Guys sharing my love for food and exploring different cuisines, including those vegetarian delights! I'm not a vegetarian, but I've certainly enjoyed vegetarian meals. With my passion for Italian and Japanese cuisine, both of which offer some amazing vegetarian options, I'm always open to the idea. I mean, who could resist a well-crafted Margherita pizza or a delectable veggie sushi roll? 🍕🍣 My taste buds are always ready for an adventure, and if that means going vegetarian for a while to discover new flavors, then count me in!

1 yI don't think I'd honestly mind it if I had to do it. Fruits and veggies are refreshing and always energize me and make me feel light. Like I love kale and cherry tomato salad with a light lemon vinaigrette dressing. Or a garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
But there are too many of my favourite foods that include meat, for me to ever desire to to change. I love burgers with beef patties, bison patties, turkey patties, and crispy chicken patties. I love chicken shawarmas, salmon, steak, chicken pot pie, pot roast... to say no to all of that. To not ever have meat in my pasta, rice, or bread anymore... that would make me pretty sad.10 Reply
1 yI wouldn't ever go full vegetarian as I have issues with my B12 but I often have vegetarian meals since it's a lot cheaper than meat options.
Usually will do things like vegetarian curry and nachos. Sometimes just a roast vegetable bowl.
10 Reply704 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. I'm seriously considering the carnivore diet. I know a few people who have had great results doing it. I'm diabetic, so I'm not crazy about higher carbohydrate diets, which a lot of vegetarian options tend to be, and I have a condition that prevents me absorbing enough protein from a plant-based diet anyway.
Meat is hypoallergenic and far better for you in the long term than a vegetarian diet if you eat ethically farmed meat and eggs. Long term it's also better for the environment.10 Reply- 461 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
1 yno i am not and i wouldn't consider it. i do not believe the vegan propaganda, that a "healthy nutrution" can be had in a vegan way. i mean i'm sure you can approximate a healthy nutrition with insane effort but that's not for me. i am open to eating less meat tho.
10 Reply 6.5K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. Absolutely not I need my protein. I donβt want to eat carrots and beans all day and celery. And people claim they are getting there protein through beans and thatβs boring and not enough for me. I want meat chicken steak beef ham, turkey Pork A little bit of fish

1 yFor the majority, yes, but to be a full-time vegetarian doesn't seem realistic in the long run. Better to try something sustainable in the long run, rather than simply doing it because everyone else is.

1 yI'm sorry I can't, no matter how hard I try I can't deny what I am. Who I am. It's in my blood. In my biology. It is my wretched curse and my painful truth... I'm a meat lover...
10 ReplyAs much as I love veggies I have to have it all. I don't think about a cow or a chicken. I think about the dish.

1 yNo. Protein is life! And before anyone starts feeling bad for the animals, they didn't have to. It would be reasonable to not kill them for food if they actually work and pay taxes in our society. But because they don't, then they are made for food.
10 Reply I am not. I will from time to time eat vegetarian dishes, or even sometimes replace burgers with veggies
