While either can be quite interesting in the right setting and with the right associates and accomplices, I would say that the clear victor is broccoli, and it is to it that shall go the spoils. I'm not even that familiar with cauliflower. It's just something that shows up from time to time along with other food and doesn't make a big impression on its own. It can be good with cheese, but cheese is so good that the fact that something can be good with cheese isn't much of a compliment.
Broccoli, on the other hand, has a domineering role, drawing attention to itself whenever it has a chance to. It just has the right consistency and flavor, and it starts being digested in such a pleasing way, that makes it my vegetable of choice. I don't cook, but when an option presents itself of what random vegetable side I would like, I can always count on broccoli to be there when I need it. At Sonny's BBQ, it's my go-to side (even for to-go when I'm visiting the country of Togo), where it shows up in a cute little bowl, often with salt and butter or margarine beside it. I feel comforted by the fact that those accompaniments are there, but I always forgo them and choose to feast upon the pure broccoli in its unadulterated glory.
Despite the food-related appliances in my possession being limited to a refrigerator (with freezer compartment), a microwave, and a hot dog toaster, I can actually "cook" my own broccoli. (That's what I call it when I get Green Giant microwavable frozen broccoli and heat it up.) It makes for a great nighttime snack, and it fills a considerably different niche than the Lay's chips I mentioned in my opinion on another food-related question.

Only time I eat cauliflower if I grind It up add eggs and make a cauliflower crust pizza other than that I'm going to go with broccoli if your broccoli is wet mush that means you're cooked it way too long. When cooked properly it still should have a firmness to it. Sometimes it takes trial and error to get the time right but steam it just to where it's still crisp and got a crunch to it drizzle some cheese on it it's a good time also you can put it on a baked potato drizzle cheese on that also. You can also bake it in the oven drizzle a little olive oil over it cover it but please do not boil it that's the worst thing you can do
Boring? I used to make little forests standing in my gravy as a kid. If covid didn't kill tastebuds you can tell they both have very unique and distinctive tastes. If blindfolded you can tell them each apart on both texture and taste. Cauliflower goes better in stew whereas broccoli does a little better raw or steamed. imho
There's a lot you can do with cauliflower. Cauliflower rice, cauliflower wings, cauliflower crust, breaded florets, loaded cauliflower casserole, cauliflower mac, and so on.

Cauliflower. I like garden grown cauliflower cooked in sweet and salty water, covered with golden roasted breadcrumbs in ton of butter
I refuse to choose one because they are both so good! I cook both of them by steaming them. That way is quicker, retains the good vitamins, etc., and gives tasty results. The broccoli florets are tender and tasty. Add some zing to them by adding melted butter and sprinkling lemon pepper over them!
The cauliflower is wonderful steamed with melted butter on them. I find them so appetizing! Also, cauliflower makes a good crust for pizza and the like for people who are lactose intolerant.
I usually eat them together, haha. But I “roast” them in an air fryer (they’re pre-made, in a bag), so they get a little flavor and texture from charring, and I think they might have salt and pepper in there too, I can’t remember.
Anyway…raw, I’d go cauliflower, the little bristle on the top of the broccoli are easy to choke on. But cooked, I probably slightly prefer broccoli, there’s a little bit more of a distinct flavor to it.Both of these vegetables emit that putrid, foul smell that makes my nose hairs curl. The stench of cauliflower and broccoli is like a mixture of rotten eggs and moldy cheese, with a hint of sewage and skunk spray. I can't stand the smell of cauliflower or broccoli, it's like a nightmare for my olfactory senses.
Give me a whiff of spoiled fish or stinky feet any day over the nauseating aroma of cauliflower or broccoli. Just the mere mention of these vegetables makes me want to gag, and fantasize about placing them tenderly on a Russian woman's breasticles before I bury my nose in her armpits.
I like something that you could call a cauliflower chop, which is cauliflower cut up into small pieces, mixes with a white roll and mili, then roller in bread crust and Fried. It's delicious. However, I adore salad with broccoli or pasta with broccoli and ham in cream souse.
I have a wee spot for cauliflower. Just think for instance of this plain popular dish: potatoes, mashed or with some kind of bechamel, cauliflower and sausage. As well broccoli as cauliflower can be used mixed with other vegetables in an Asian kind of recipe with rice and spices. Many variants are possible.
Broccoli is the lesser of the two evils. But actually, it kind of goes well with rice and chicken... and they look like small trees while cauliflower just looks like a deformed bitch
Why settle for just one, when you can have BOTH?
I personally like cauliflower if it's roasted or used in place of rice. However, broccoli is awesome as well! I usually use it in pastas and as a side-dish. So I think it's a tie for me, the tiebreaker being the cauliflower rice my dad makes, lol.
I love making Broccoli and Stilton soup.
I like both. You just shouldn't over-cook them (or cook them at all, in some cases).
That rocket picture is awesome!
both :D but if I have to choose then cauliflower

I hate both, but if I must, I'll go with broccoli.

Broccoli I like broccoli it’s just great especially broccoli casserole Broccoli is very healthy for you
I kind of get the impression that broccoli is a super food. Cauliflower somehow makes me think there's nothing in it, like lettuce.
I honestly hate both but if I had to. Brocolli
Cauliflower with cheese sauce is the best. Better even than cheesey peas. Broccoli has it's place even though it is third down.
Broccoli all day. Though I make cauliflower "rice" for the wife. She loves it. I have had it is alright
Broccoli has more uses than cauliflower. It stir-fries better and is just as good in cheese sauce as cauliflower is.
Love them both…
my hubby cooks them yummy… never mushy…
