What is the best meal you’ve ever had?

Gotta set the scene a little for this one.


So, college, my sophomore year. It’s time to get my wisdom teeth taken out. We schedule the surgery for the first day of spring break. What follows that week is a lot of aches, pains, and liquid foods. My diet consisted almost entirely of chocolate pudding and applesauce both for mixing my pain meds into but also because no chewing was required and my jaw ached like a bitch. I lost three pounds from that week alone, it sucked. When the week was over, the pain had ebbed enough that I could feel comfortable eating soft foods. None of it was particularly good, mostly stuff like canned ravioli. It wasn’t until I got back to campus and they were serving fried chicken that I got to enjoy the satisfying crunch of the breading alongside the flavorful cooking of the meat and I was in a very happy place mentally. It was literally just chicken tenders and fries, shit I got all the time at the little campus café that accepted college meal plan payments, but man did it taste like heaven on a plate after a week of a liquid diet. Damn... that's way too tough for me. All I know if that my favourite foods are chicken shawarmas, burgers, chicken pot pie, pot roast, steak, and salmon fillets. Too hard to choose the BEST meal I've EVER had.
