What is the best meal you have eaten in your life so far?

I went to eat at my favorite place about 30 years ago. I had the Prime Rib and it was the end cut roasted perfectly with a big baked potato stuffed with butter and a salad. I have not had anything that good again.

The best meal of my life was in a tiny alleyway izakaya in Osaka 🇯🇵. I had smoky yakitori grilled over binchotan, silky chawanmushi, and a simple bowl of ramen with a broth simmered for hours. The flavors were deep yet clean. Surrounded by locals, steam, and sizzling sounds, every bite felt intimate and unforgettable.

About 45+ years ago, we went to Colorado (before it went to bits in a bucket), and had a great Kansas City strip steak.

Also great was the grilled hamburger at the commissary at the Air Force Academy also in Colorado. Both were on the same trip, so that made it very memorable. Best burger I ever had- grilled perfectly- just the right amount of char- great balance of lean and fat. The fries were top notch as well.

An entree of New Orleans Redfish, served at a fishing resort on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee, several years ago.
