Could you date someone who can't stomach Spicy Food?

I'm always throwing jalapenos or ghost peppers into some dish or another. To me, spice is life and I'd prefer to share it with someone who enjoys it as well. So if a woman can only handle Ranch as a "spice" I know it won't last too long. (Which is why I usually Latin women.) I just wanted to know if anyone else draws the same line when it comes to spice.

OMG NO!!! My fiancé Lee would be SO pissed! However, regardless of the fact that I’m not a spicy food lover, if I was, to the degree that I carried hot sauce in my purse, like everywhere… I would not care what the guys I dated liked, or my boyfriend liked, and I don’t care what foods Lee likes and doesn't like. I’m not looking to have a relationship with myself! “Vive la difference” as the French say, literally live the differences! (or contextually embrace the differences). We need to understand that the person we have a relationship with is not us. They will not like everything we like, and we should embrace that, not mock it, or reject it. Lee grew-up poor. He’d never had escargot or oysters prior to meeting me. He refused to eat the escargot, until I gave him the "how do you know you won't like it until you've tried it" line on him. And God bless him, he tried it… And absolutely fckn' hated it! The entire time it was in his mouth, he keptBut I love him for trying it! Oysters on the other hand, he had no problem trying, but thought it was like swallowing snot! I very coyly looked at him, broke a slight naughty smile, and said "now you know how I feel” LOL 😂

Sure I can. I love spicy food/candy/chips (though I try not to eat much junk food) but it doesn't matter much to me if my partner shares my taste in food. Most people that I know don't like it as much as me anyway, it takes a special kind of person to appreciate spicy things lol

I'm not a fan of very spicy food anyways. A little spice is nice for some added flavor like a little hot sauce in a shawarma wrap. But I'm not the type of person to add jalapenos and banana peppers to my food.

Even if I loved spice, I wouldn't see not liking spice as a deal breaker. I could just add my own spice to my food after like chilli flakes, hot sauce, jalapenos, or banana peppers.

My wife eats ghost peppers like apples and I can barely tolerate a few drops of Frank's on my food.
