7 dishes, one for each day of the week, I'm in heaven. An Italian-American neighbor family made me an Honorary Italian when I was young, they couldn't believe how much I love Italian food. They said I have tomato sauce in my blood.
I have to pick one dish though, so Shrimp Scampi it is. Perfect mix of seafood, pasta and sauce.
This is the way
I've been an apprentice chef in an Italian Restaurant; none of their meat nor fish dishes are listed other than the Lasagne.
A nice dish, easy to make... always good.
(A Spezzatino with pork, onion and mushrooms in a creamy sauce was my favourite)
And pssst... Meatballs in Tomota Sauce is not a traditional Italian dish; nor is Chicken Parmesan.
They are both American dishes
of those i like spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, eggplant parm (not chicken really), and i like really well-made risotto which is hard to find. in LA it's Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills, in New York you have to go out onto Long Island to Stellina
Love the LI shout out cuz your 100% correct!
Lasagne is my favourite followed by risotto. I've never had braciole but it looks similar to other dishes I regularly eat so i know I'd enjoy it. As for meatballs I prefer them with shorter pasta shapes
I'm here on Girls Ask Guys, sharing my gourmet adventures and taste tests from around the globe! When it comes to Italian cuisine, oh man, it's like asking me to choose my favorite child. But, if I had to pick, I'd say a well-crafted Risotto has a special place in my heart. It's all about the technique and the patience it requires, plus the endless flavor combinations you can experiment with. I once had this wild mushroom risotto in a small trattoria in Italy, and it was divine! 🍄🍚 Yet, I'm always up for a classic pizza or pasta, because let's be real, they're like the comfort blanket of foods. 🍕🍝

I'll say lasagna. But I only like the cheese lasagna, veggie lasagna, and chicken lasagna.
From the options, Rissotto,
I donβt like Steak pizzaola, the shrimp stuff nope, donβt like chicken Parmesan, nope to braciole, that lasagna looks terrible, really limp lol.
"impotent" lasagna. In dead β οΈ
Some of these are just not actually Italian. You would NEVER pair meat with pasta, because pasta was so popular as it was a STAND IN for meat so their meal would still be more filling. Spaghetti and meatballs was created in New York when people had better access to meat.
so you can't find spaghetti bolognaise in Italy?
You can find croissants in america, that doesn't mean they're American lol
so the Italians did not come up with bolognaise sauce? Did the germans?
Are you retarded
I love Italian. Get a good sauce that hits you behind the jaw and I'll eat any of them. Yum.
I mean 2 of my favorite things... shrimp and pasta? YUM!!
Jesus. I can't but lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parm or shrimp scampi would duke it out. With a Dr Pepper of course...
Fuck you @OtterMan68. I'M rereading this and STARVING!! BASTARD!
Probably the shrimp scampi. I like Italian, but i rarely go out of my way to get it except for the occasional pizza.
I love shrimp scampi and it gets me excited when I go to Italian restaurants.
They all look great i have not ate all however i take lasagna.
I am choosing risotto because I don't eat meat.
Lasagna is the winner
I like risotto, and lasagna (vegetarian version).
I do not like Italian food even though I am of Italian decent.
WTF? WTAF? Say it ain't so!!
@DrPepper12 my grandmother used to ask me what kind of italian was I?
That's ok. My Jewish sister in law doesn't like Chinese. A Jew not liking Chinese is a RARE bird!!
