For nutritional purposes I’d rather bring my own lunch, I like knowing what I’m consuming. But I hate having to bring it with me and carry it around, remember to bring containers in to wash at night, take time out of my leisure time to prepare it, etc.
A lot of times I just skip lunch. I’m only hungry at lunch time if I eat breakfast, weirdly. If I skip breakfast, I’m good til dinner time. With breakfast, I want to be eating all day, haha. I guess I inadvertently do intermittent fasting, really.
I always eat lunch on days when I have a hockey game at night though, that’s when I need the fuel. I just go to Chipotle and get a burrito bowl with rice, beans, chicken, pico de gallo, lettuce, and very small portions of sour cream and cheese just to get a little good stuff in there without going full fat kid, haha. But I feel ok about those ingredients, as opposed to what I’d get from almost anywhere else. Wish we had a Sweet Greens closer to me, but I gotta trek all the way into downtown Boston for that.
I made my own lunch for all of my working life, and for much of my school life, as well.
When I'd arrive home from work for the day, I immediately prepared the next day's lunch and put it in the refrigerator, to be easily dropped into my Coleman Lunchmate Cooler the next morning.
Except for Friday afternoon.
I wouldn't want a lunch sitting all weekend, so Sunday evening was the time to prepare for Monday's lunch.
I didn't even consider myself as being home from work until that chore was completed Monday through Thursday.
I'd prepare the coffeepot to automatically brew at 4AM, also.
My truck's gas tank was always filled by me on the way home, with it never being brought home without it having enough gas to more than adequately complete the next day's travels.
Efficiency, folks, it's all about efficiency.
It was for me, anyway.
For myself. Mostly a salad and bun. We have a microwave in break room but it smells like someone burnt plastic inside, that's why I rarely bring pasta or stew dishes for lunch. Most people on my workplace buy sandwiches, kebab, pizza... for lunch. It's not money question, but I trust only food I made by myself.
Hubby makes and packs my lunch. We only have about 30-40m. lunch time. So don’t have time to go out to get food.

I almost never pack a lunch, because it would sit in my van at unsafe temperatures for hours before I got to eat it. I work at other people's houses and businesses - sometimes houses under major construction - so I don't have refrigeration available to me and I already have so many tools, supplies, and equipment in my van that adding anything else isn't feasible. And most of my customers are at least 45 minutes drive (one way) from my house, so it's not practical to drive home for lunch, with only rare exceptions.
On "office days", when I'm able to work from home, I often eat left-overs for lunch.
That was when I went to school when I had the old-fashioned Metal lunch boxes with a glass thermostat with the little cartoons on the face of The lunchbox. Nowadays, I wouldn’t dare too many ants can get in there and get inside of it, especially with the foods in your pictures
This is air-tight lunchbox, if even the air can’t even be able to get in, how come the ant get it.
I bought it offline, u can’t search lock&lock.

Wow, sounds fancy if it has a thermostat!
@bluesparrow wow you are a good help to me thank you
I try.
@bluesparrow would you happen to have a link for that website?
I found it doing reverse. Google.

Are you on a computer or mobile device?
@bluesparrow iPhone 13 Pro Max
Sorry, but I only know how add pics with a computer.
@bluesparrow well that’s a nice little refrigerator cooler but it’s a little bit pricey but I’m more into keeping all the ants and insects out. Butt I like the idea of it. Thats a nice breakfast steak 🥩 dinner you have there
Lol you have maids, you can cook good, speak every major language plus the java coffee one. Nice
I don't eat lunch unless I have to go to a business luncheon, in which case I will nibble on a few things just to be sociable.
I work from my home most days, and take my lunch on Thursday when I go to the actual office to run payroll.
I've made my own lunch since I was in elementary school!
I bring sometimes but run out of things to make, I hate eating the same thing every day so I buy something on the road since I’m out all day no place to heat my food if I want a warm meal for lunch
I make a plan for what I'll make in the morning, and then get up late everyday and just hit a drive-thru.
Lunch in Seattle, even from a food truck, will cost $15. I always took leftovers or made a sandwich at home.
I prepare my lunch at home. I eat at work. I eat outside sometimes. I have a question. Did you cook the meat in the first image? It looks like it's undercooked. It's not healthy like that. Meat should be well cooked.
The Missus prepares something nice each morning.
Not, that I ask her to, but she enjoys it.
I work at a cafe so I usually just eat food that's been wasted or off cuts
It is at the office once a week and we have lunch together. So it is buy.

I just don't eat lunch! Solves the cost and time problem.
I buy it 50% of the time and the other 50% i make it for myself i live alone so I don't have a choice

I like to make them myself, most of the time. Only few times when I feel lazy I buy some.
I SHOULD make my lunch but I usually just break out a can of something that just carry in my "go-bqg"
