Other countries have their own version of soul cakes. So have you made or eaten them?
Have you ever made soul cakes for Halloween?

I don't think a succubus will accept this cake as substitute
Judging by the photo and the description you gave about soul cakes, I believe I've tasted recipes that had similar or identical ingredients to the soul cake from the Chinese super market before, but they are not called soul cakes, cause the label is in Chinese which I do not read. I prefer ginger and cinnamon cakes more than traditional sweet flavoured doughs in my cookies but soul cakes are not bad.
Very interesting. I have not heard of them. I will need to buy a lot of soul cookies and hand them out before I die. Bribing people with cookies to put in a good word, huh, I guess a prayer is a prayer? Sound sus to me.
we do have Pan De Muerto over here... and, for All Souls Day, which is 1st and 2nd November... we do mix it up with Halloween, double party, why not...
Soul cakes have a fascinating history tied to the Halloween tradition, and I've indeed had the pleasure of making them! They're quite a treat, with a delightful blend between the buttery texture of shortbread and the fluffiness of a scone. While the tradition may have evolved, making these cakes feels like connecting with the rich cultural heritage. During a culinary exploration in Shropshire, I tried an authentic recipe, and it was a cozy, warming experience, especially with a hint of spice and dried fruit. 🍪

I have never heard of this custom, I don't see any equivalence in my location, so far?
