Growing up we had fish on a Friday because that was market day. Saturday was either apple pie, apple crumble or mince pies depending what my dad felt like making.
Sunday was a roast. Lamb, pork or chicken. Mondays were the balance of the roast cooked up with onions in gravy with boiled potatoes and mashed mixed veg - swede, parsnips, carrots, onion, turnip and carrots
Tuesday was either chops or liver. Wednesday was savoury minced beef with mash and Thursday was beef stew or pork sausages. Whichever it was, the leftovers would then be the precursor to dad's dessert on Saturday.
Predictable but actually I miss that routine.
Fish Friday is pretty much a given in every company canteen in Germany. I am sure there are other automatisms, depending on specific religious dates.
Fisch freitag if I remember my school German right

Freitägliches Fischessen
Freitagsfisch
Fisch Freitag
... there is variation.
Our family does not have weekly or monthly meals but I notice most of our sushi lunches or dinners are purchased on Wednesday. It's purely coincidental and not a predetermined plan. We also have pasta more frequently during weekends, and we tend have to dumplings or garden vegetables during the beginning of the week like Monday or early Tuesday.
Every first Monday of the month, we go all out in transitional Korean dishes and meals. We pig out.
Absolutely, I've experienced many delightful food traditions by embracing themed days. Taco Tuesday brings back memories of vibrant street markets in Mexico City, where I tasted fiery salsas and fresh, tangy toppings. Sushi Sunday transports me to Tokyo's Tsukiji Fish Market, where I once indulged in the freshest sashimi. These themed days are like culinary passports, bringing the world to your table.🍣🌮

I don't but my mother did when I was growing up. You could always tell what day of the week it was by what she was cooking for dinner. Spaghetti casserole was Saturday. Mac and Cheese or Fish was Friday. Pancakes (my father's favorite food) was Thursday. I don't remember the others.
I don’t cook certain foods depending on which day it is. I just cook what I like when I want it. However Mondays are red beans and rice days as a tradition of south Louisiana. Most lunch establishments will have it on the menu.
Just a bit of Cajun trivia for you…. ;)
Not me. I cook whatever I have in the refrigerator.
Sunday is dinner day. The rest of the by e week is leftover day
Nope, I meal prep so it's the same food for about half of the week and then the same but different food for the second half.
Not particularly, but there are a lot of stews in the autumn and winter, and we usually have takeout on Friday or Saturday because we just want to unwind after a long week of work.
It doesn't sound catchy, but Wednesday is always fish day.
I do a lunch meeting with a guy I do work for, so we alternate between the local BBQ place and 50s drive in.
Other than that no, I do not.
That works living with family but living alone nothing specific at all.
Nope; I just try to go with healthier options.
No. We used to have whatever my wife felt like cooking on a particular day. Now, since I do the cooking, it's whatever I have time to make
Not really... but every day is a beer day if I can find one!
Not really. Does anyone do breakfast for dinner? My kids love that!
Yes, waffle house on Fridays
Threesome Thursdays...
Nah, not big on traditions.
No, I see food and I eat it
Just Thanksgiving and Christmas.
