I started the summer before I went into the 9th grade. I was 14 I guess. I stopped when I was 35.

My father let me try his beer when I was seven or eight. Of course it tasted disgustingly and put me off the idea of drinking beer for the next ~20 years. I never had much interest in alcoholic beverages, especially after seeing other people sleeping in their puke at parties or colleagues at work losing their expensive drivers license.

Our parents allow us to drink at a very young age… before 10? For new year’s celebrations… I remember throwing up lol… I don’t call that drinking… then around college… I tried. I learned that I have no tolerance after a few tries… so that’s that.
most of my friends are not drinkers.

Also, back in highschool me and my friends would drink before class and during football games with a lovely Kool aid and tequila mixed (sometimes vodka) 🤫 and uh smoke the Mary Jane too 🤫

My start was horrible trauma.

My parents are religious jews and have drunk holiday called prim.

When i turned 13 they gave me a tall "big gulp" cup full of wine.

That said we won't serve food until you drink the whole thing.

People were shouting complaining "because of you we are waiting."

At first i tried but it was gross n too much so i dumped the wine on my pa lap.

He got mad, refilled it and the complaining resumed.

I finally gagged down the whole thing so they would stop blocking my escape out the door.

But they were just "educated me to obey religious laws of prim".

I was asking for crème DeMont at age 3 maybe 2... "Can I have some of that stuff in the green bottle?" I think my mom was desperate for a tummy solution at one point, prob late hour, it was embarrassing when I asked in front of her friends though. It did break any teen curiosity I might have had. So points to her.
