Did you like it at first?
313 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. first lill sip: the earliest i can remember was 6 (accidently) was whiskey i think. thought it was my apple juice. i might have been given little sips of wine earlier than that though since in one of my cultures that's kind of normal
first actual drink: 8 i think, my dad gave a really big glass of wine for a special occasion. was a little tipsy
first time i actually got drunk not just tipsy: i think 17 or 18. before i'd drunk alcohol but i never got drunk got off it which i'm not sure why, which would piss me off. dont remember the occasion or anything though

+1 yI don’t like drinking but as for first rime I was too young to remember, in Georgia we made wine on a wine making season, and once my cousins and I sneaked in our winery, took a bottle of wine and had a blast with it behind our parent’s back.
I don’t like drinking. And have been very rarely drinking just one glass of wine.

+1 yI was 8 years old. My dad gave me a beer. Is it any wonder why I was in foster care after that? lol. No, the alcohol had nothing to do with it.
My parents used to do a lot of stuff they weren't supposed to do, but my dad was always drinking, and would give me beer. I slept good though!

22? Did not like it. First drink of vodka and felt like I swallowed a potato that was on fire. I've had the smell of beer and don't wanna. However, wine is my kind of drink. But it was just once this year... other time was 3 years ago. So you see, not much of a drinker :D

+1 yDad and mom always allowed us a small glass of wine with Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas/New Year's dinners and we could sip their mixed drinks when we when out to dinner once a week or so.
Dad usually got a Tom Collins. Tasted fine to me and I liked the Mogen David or Harvey's Bristol Cream we had.

+1 yin my culture kids are given sips, because just a bit. i started age 3, with parents approval. i understood the law age 6 and told my dad to switch to non alcohol. then age 13 i got bullied into drinking 16 ounces of 12% wine all at once same minute. gave me emotional trauma.

+1 yI had one beer at 16 cause a friend my dad knew told him to give me a beer. But after that I drank when it was legally permitted cause I bought and drank at public places where it is impossible to get a drink under age without fake I. D. I think the legal age was 18 when I was first allowed to drink. Now I believe it might be 19.
