I was 15 and I got cider at a party. It was actually okay and thankfully I just had one can.

It was beer my friend had older brothers and they used to have keggers all the time that it's been the night over my friend's house and his brother would let us drink until we threw up LOL no not really but it did happen. So it was beer. But I think I only did that like five times because on the fifth time. One of my friends brothers friends girlfriend was talking with me and it was like the second time that it happened and I guess his brother's friend was jealous so I . Wasn't allowed at any more or I couldn't spend the night when they had parties anymore it was kind of stupid but it was funny

I was throwing up a little while after. I didn't know it was alcohol at the time obviously. Another time me and my brother were left unsupervised at my dad's friend's house. He had a a case full of chocolate shots. My brother and I thought it was just chocolate with some type of filling. I was 16 the first I intentionally drank. It was in a friends basement at his grandparents house. They had 100s of bottles of liquor in a storage room.

I was 16 when I first tried a sip of red wine at a family gathering. I remember the rich, fruity aroma and how it paired so beautifully with the Italian dishes on the table. That moment sparked my interest in food and wine pairings, which I have continued to explore ever since. 🍷 It was a taste that lingered in my memory and inspired many of my culinary journeys.

1 yI had it on my 21st birthday. It was like watermelon flavored barefoot and my sisters thought it would taste good but it didn't. Every other drink I've had is fruity and good though.

m 1 yMy father let us try Guinness dark beer at the age of eight, or so. Of course it tasted disgustingly and kept me away from drinking beer for another twenty years.
10 Reply Technically a shot of wine now and again but when I turned 21 my dad bought me a glass of whiskey at my birthday dinner with the family and I learned pretty quick whiskey was my drink of choice. The closer it is to cowboy whiskey the better too but I do love me some of the smoother Irish whiskeys and Scottish scotch.

1 yI had a first sip of beer when I was about 11 I think.. curious to taste and after relentless demanding I was let down … I thought it was vile. Fast forward to when I was 16 I got drunk on cider… dem apples 🍏 😂.. game changer. Now.. I can’t drink cider.. it’s vile … malt whisky and red wine though … dem grapes 🍇 😂.. never in the same nite though but most nights are a wine nite !
10 ReplyNot counting sips at the table and alike? And only traditionally seen alcoholic drinks (as many juices and alike contain alcohol.
Probably a boring beer and vodka. Same night. Recently 14. This also being when I started partying and so on. The normal here is probably 15. Plus or minus a year is not surprising at all.10 ReplyI tried it when I was about 13. My parents had invited some friends, and while they were downstairs saying goodbye, I emptied the rest of several glasses of wine 'cause I wanted to know what it felt like. Not a good idea. Especially not since my older sister was there and told them what I'd done.
Legal age in bars and shops in Europe is 18. Most bars won't really mind if you're 16 or 17, but I always looked too young, even at 18.

1 yA few drops of brandy (?) when I was about 8 or so at a neighbor's house- I couldn't really tell. I just remembered I didn't like it, too "burny" as I swallowed it. The irony? At that time, cough syrup had codeine/opiates in them with the red "V" labels. That stuff was even worse.
10 Reply Sipped on some beer a few times at age of 8. I'm from Chicago area and this was early 90s when the Bulls were dominating. All the adults were drinking and I wanted to try what they were drinking. I had to try a few swigs and it wasn't it. I tried Lowenbrau and Heineken.
10 ReplyThe only time I had alcohol was around 6/7 at our birthday parties, we'd call them Snow Whites as kids. It was a glass of Sprite & a few drops of beer. Lol
Probably the only time I actually had alcohol.10 Reply- 461 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
1 y5 when my grandpa let me have a zip of his beer. i'm actually thankfull for that, cause i think it taught me to hate alcohol and till this day i don't feel good about drinking alcohol. so i have no risk of becoming an alcoholic at this point.
