I recently heard some implausible propaganda, about waste in the egg n chicken processors. But a Company that wants profit would not waste.

after reading many "wrong reasons to stop eating chicken" and other implausible claims, i asked a bot about it.

It surprised me that some company allow "egg hens" to "retire" alive!

such as those supervised by The "Animal Welfare Approved" (A. W. A.) label indicates that egg hens are not sent to slaughter until their natural lifespan is reached.

What other labels or organizations, supervise company to keep hens alive after egg production slows?

This is weird.
Not 5 hours ago I sat at my kitchen table talking with a new renter that was job searching at Tyson. He had worked at Pilgrims and I started asking him questions about the profession as he told me he had worked every position except the live hang department. I asked him as we worked down the line about where they get their chickens. Like breeding them and naturally I asked what they did with the ones that laid the eggs after they hit a certain age. He was not certain for all but said that they would have a special processing day, a Saturday, and would use them in that manner. But we didn't discuss packaging. Sorry.

I've never heard that and frankly, don't believe it. Hens have a certain egg-laying life and not many live beyond 4 or 5 years even in a home chicken coop. Plus they are in huge barns where they can hardly move around. It's a bad life.
