Tabasco have a habanero chilli sauce... use it in moderation.
Otherwise either guacamole or sour cream do the job.
My favourite tacos involve making pulled pork with raisins, a dash of habanero sauce and homemade guacamole, although you can buy decent guacamole that is mainly avocado if you are careful to avoid the majority of offerings that are mainly dairy.
For the OP, what protein are you using? Apart from my previous response, I use beef or pork mince cooked with finely chopped onion, finely sliced chilli... you could use chilli powder instead... and a tin of diced tomatoes and cook it a bit like a bolognese sauce except with the lid off the saucepan because you need to remove moisture if you are going to have a taco that does not drip all over you.
Occasionally I brown chopped chicken and add a store bought spice mix towards the end, making sure not to burn the spices.
I am using chicken because I have a surplus.
I think Kimchi sauce would be a great combination with tacos.
Thank you for MHO
For a delightful taco experience, you might consider trying a tangy and flavorful salsa verde. Made with tomatillos, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime, it adds a refreshing burst of flavor to your tacos. I remember having tacos topped with salsa verde in a small Mexican street food stall; the vibrant taste was unforgettable. Enjoy your culinary journey, and let those flavors transport you! 🌮💚
