Have you ever called a restaurant to order food for delivery?

It seems so old skool now!
Even if i’m not using an app, it seems like i’m ordering from a website. No human interaction, especially if i don’t deselect “request no contact delivery”. You have to go out of your way to interact with another human being! I’m laughing, but it’s actually kind of sad. And i’m an introvert!
When was the last time you actually called a restaurant to order food?

When I was younger I did call delivery every now and then for pizza.
It was a memory I shared with a cousin who also enjoyed pizza or a friend.

Now, depending on the situation and which would be practical, I either call or use the food delivery app.

I either go to an eatery / restaurant order and eat at a table , cook at home or eat at family , friends or sometimes colleagues houses. I DONT use apps for that unless it’s to book a table. Not because I’m old school it because I like having a prepared meal not some low quality offering delivered cold to my door.

Just pizza. We used Door Dash and Grub Hub gift cards after my wife's last pregnancy, but that's about the only other thing.

Most pizzerias i know are conventional restaurants with delivery option. Since covid uber eat delivers food from most restaurants

Every week. I live in small town. There is no uber eats or grubhub here. No apps to order online. Hell, no one delivers. I call in my order (or text some) for the convinces of a speedy pickup.

Plenty of times, the non-chains ere still phone-in s so both the Chinese and Indian are... ordered Indian less than 2 weeks ago

Yes, of course. It's still common in my country. And much faster and cheaper than using a third party delivery app.

Used to do it, but if I want delivery, I'll just use 'DoorDash' or 'Uber Eats'
