This is a move to make America Healthy again but many people say that the cane sugar makes Coke taste better.

Funny, I recall we had similar discussion not long ago. I think you posted that…
I mentioned how I don’t drink any soda because I tried it when I came to the US… but not something I drink often… I went away to travel and back to the US…I tried at some parties again … I didn’t like so I stopped completely… it tasted so bad because it is processed… so I haven’t had any for over 20 something years…
now that RFK is on top of these highly processed foods/drinks… I am glad … the changes will be slow. Cane sugars are better but no sugar will be best for most Americans health… in the long term.
I don’t use any sugar or salt at home or buy any sweets, taste too artificial.
aside from some dark chocolate or a little cheating from time to time with “bad” foods… this diet has served me well.
I normally don’t drink coke.
Switching from corn syrup to cane sugar can indeed provide a different taste experience. Cane sugar often brings out a more natural sweetness, reminiscent of the original Coke formula that many purists cherish. While this shift might appeal to those seeking a nostalgic flavor, whether it contributes significantly to health is debatable. 🌟 It's a reminder of how subtle ingredient changes can transform the culinary landscape. Remember that moderation is key to enjoying any sweet treat, corn syrup or cane sugar.🍹

This will never happen. Soda drink producers will murder anyone who demands corn fructose ban from drinks. I don't think they will allow any compromises here.
I am not an expert but I've seen pictures of crowds and of the beach from the 1950's, 60s and 70s.
Nothing but thin, fit people. Now if you see a picture of hundreds of people on the beach or crowds... fat people EVERYWHERE!!!
Something sure changed. If our foods aren't the same as then and there is a bunch of chemicals and hormones and other stuff that didn't used to be in our foods I am fine with getting it out.
Coke existed then. Is Coke made the same way or have they tweaked it over the last 40 years? I don't know.
There’s a tradeoff here. The US consumes more sugar than it produces in sugar cane. Corn is easier to grow in more places in the US. Between that and the farming subsidies, corn syrup became the more economical option for sweetening our processed foods, despite its published health drawbacks. Cane sugar, and some argue beet sugar, have fewer drawbacks, but we will have to import more if we don’t reduce domestic demand.
We definitely consume too much sugar in the US. If we can reduce that, we can be healthier while also strengthening and stimulating our economy.
Corn syrup is fructose whilst sugarcane is glucose and fructose. Coke uses cane sugar in most countries e. g. UK, Australia. Glucose is pretty vital - diabetics will go into a coma and die if their blood glucose goes low.
Maybe we should be all glucose.
It is interesting fructose is seen as less healthy but is also a sugar replacement in Oz.
I suppose we should keep down the number of apples we eat too.
Seems to me that Coca Cola test marketed a cane syrup version perhaps 10-20 years ago.
In any event, it doesn't matter to me, because I drink Diet Coke.
No, I think the New Coke fiasco was a revision to the basic recipe.
In the US, Coke was made with cane sugar until 1980, then Coke began converting to high fructose corn syrup and the switch was complete by 1984. The New Coke experiment, a revamp of the traditional formula, was introduced in April, 1985 and had been abandoned by July, 1985.
Aspartame is horrible for you!!! @OlderAndWiser
@Kingofkings1992 It is the lesser evil.
How is it possible that a light-hearted question like this draws in the pathetic haters? Democrats loved Trump until he became president. Democrats loved and adored the Kennedys until Trump appointed one in his cabinet. The Democrats worshiped Elon musk until he started working for trump. I very much support Kennedy's efforts to make food healthier. I heard a comedian make a joke. @exitseven, I'm sure when push comes to shove you have a signature recipe that's the cat's meow. A touch of this, a touch of that, maybe a dash of that stuff... but how much petroleum do you put into your recipes? 😜😉 None? If all
M & Ms were the same color, life will find a way. We can get through it.
As for the idiot who said Trump has a young girl with cancer in a concentration camp... She needs to lay off the crack pipe. That didn't happen.
Because he likes Mexican Coca Cola and doesn’t want to admit it lmao
Yes it is will you try the new cane sugar product
Replacing one sugar with another one for health... Yeah sure lmao if he cared about health be would try to reduce the sugar
Don't care, just so long as it goes good with Jack.
Coke hates White people so I don't drink it.
@exitseven I don't drink the really sweet drinks like Coca Cola now.
The Cokes made in Mexico use Cane sugar and they do taste better than the USA Cokes.
That's what the prime minister of Great Britain said the Indian guy. He said that Mexican Coca cola taste amazing because they use cane sugar instead of corn syrup.
I don't know but the current Coke tastes like crap
Corn syrup is extremely unhealthy. Insulin spikes but it can't fully process the crap.
Cane and beet sugar aren't as healthy as honey but they are far better than corn syrup.
Jesus.
He should focus on getting that 6 yr old cancer patient and the others out of his concentration camp.
Well it's not healthy by any standard, but real sugar in coke tastes better for sure.
Corn syrup is horrible for you. So glad that Coke is switching to cane sugar. Hopefully this will prompt of their drinks to switch.
Does he think that he has the power to do that too?🤪
That's a brilliant idea, bravo for the president.
So he says. Coca-cola says nothing about it and if it's even true, I doubt he has anything to do with it.
Better than a sugar tax at least. We're STILL living under that particular horror over here in the UK.
No, they said they'd think about it
Also, this is just a distraction away from Epstein
I can't remember the last time I drank a Coke, But changing ANY beverage from High Fructose Corn Syrup to cane sugar, is certainly a move in the right direction (MAHA)
Might wanna fact check that with the coke corporation...
I am quite surprised. Trump always says we should buy American, we produce a little sugarcane in the US, but we corn is far far more plentiful.
M. A. F. A. ("fat again")...
This is good. Sugar gets a bad rap but a lot of the problems caused by "sugar" are actually caused by sugar substitutes like corn syrup and aspartame
I don't think Trump got Coca-Cola to do anything. I think they did it for economic reasons. Companies like that only do things for economic reasons.
It's cheaper to use high-fructose syrup, that's why Coke currently uses it.
I would say he is making America fat again, but America was already fat.
Cane sugar is the best sweetener.
I agree. I buy the Pepsi made with real sugar as they give you the option.
They haven't switched or even said they are going to. Learn to read.
We should have Gerard Way as our U. S. President!
I don't drink sodas, but eliminating corn syrup is a positive baby step.
I hope that this is the truth. Yes, cane sugar tastes 1,000 % better
at least cane sugar is better for you.
Cane sugar is so much better
I don't drink Coca-Cola
it does taste better...
I prefer cane sugar.
Sounds like it! Nate will be happy.
I did not know that well I say sugar damn yes
And fuglier !!!
Corn syrup is far worse than cane sugar
Corn syrup is crap
