Should it be illegal to open a crisp packet upside down?

Here's a packer of cheese and onion crisps I deliberately opened upside down for this question. In doing so I defaced the art work and insulted the hardworking people who designed the packet. Had I been on a bus other passengers would have had difficulty reading the logo which may have severely affected sales leading to job losses.

It's considered treason to put a stamp on upside down and carries a sentence of 15 years so I feel something similar is in order with crisp packets

I am aghast and horrified at your atrocious confession. How can you live with yourself knowing you are capable of such cruel, malicious and cold hearted acts. I always open my snack bags from the bottom. That way the broken bits and crumbs are more evenly distributed throughout the bag. Rather than collected unappetizingly at the bottom and compelling the less couth among us to raise the bag to our lips and avalanche the crumbs into our maws. Ugh!

I bet that when you finish eating the product you throw away the wrapper. Other people would not be able to see that wrapper. Do you really think that would be hurting sales? And would you then throw the wrapper on the floor so others could see it?

It’s only illegal to remove the tag before it’s sold. It’s illegal to sell a used mattress in some states, especially if that tag has been removed. The other risks include transferring pests and biohazards.

How does it matter? The only reason you can tell which side is up is cause of the print. Otherwise both side are identical so it doesn't matter for the purpose of opening them.
