What is the best trick you ever pulled on Halloween?

When I was little my mother used to buy a couple of boxes of full sized Hershey chocolate bars. My brother and me used to sneak them out of the box and we would cut a piece of cardboard the same size as the candy bar and carefully unwrap the candy bar, eat the candy and carefully put the piece of cardboard into the wrapper and place it back in the box. My mother never found out and one year one of the neighborhood kids complained that they got a cardboard candy bar. We just laughed.

Ok. It happened to me & buddies. I was about 13. Shaving cream, eggs, fireworks, alcohol, the usual teenage stuff. Chevy Nova of seniors pulls up next to us. We knew them as older sibling of friend group.. They asked us "Where is Piss street?" We said I don't know never heard of it. They screamed "Right here!" and sprayed us from a refillable fire extinguisher. Good times.

I've pulled MANY pranks in my time but nothing on Halloween. One of them was when I dropped a brick down the vent tube of the porta potty when my coworker was taking a dump.

Actually this wasn't a trick but my true Halloween night story.
I was 11 years old and heard that one of my neighbors had the best candy they were giving out for trick-or-Treat.
I went to sleep 😴 that night but was totally sleep walking in my pajamas and bare feet.
I went down our staircase and unlocked the door and walked over to their house. I was ringing their doorbell many times but they didn't answer.
Next thing I heard was my mom's voice yelling my first and middle name "Get back in the house"!!
All I remembered was feeling the wet grass on my feet as I was going back home.
I have never went sleepwalking since then, but ya never know what I am gonna do. 😅

I don't know if this qualifies as a trick or not. When my kids were younger, my then-wife and I decided to give kids a healthy Halloween. From past Halloween's, we had a reputation for giving out the best candy, but one year, we gave out baby carrots and celery sticks instead. Some of the kids liked it, most didn't. The parents loved us though.

My friend was playing a show with his band at the bar we worked at about 17 years ago, on Halloween night. He was drunk as fuck and crashed his car into an island (median) and rolled it after hauling ass out of the parking lot. I ran out there and flipped his car back over with some friends and moved it out of the street before anybody even had a chance to call the cops.
