Drink responsibly and enjoy it if you want, your just drink some tea. Drink and get drunk at home I don't recommend. Several cases of murders recently where people were drunk. It's just a bad idea.

I definitely do not drink to get drunk. I hate that feeling of loss of control. And then there is the stomach and headache the next morning. Been there done that, no thanks.

Beer and wine pairs really well with foods. They just do. And after dinner, a whisky is a unique flavor for sipping. A gin and tonic or a Mojito is a nice clean refreshing taste on a hot summer evening.

But I can't just sit there guzzling drinks for an entire evening. The other problems with alcohol aside, the empty calories are huge too. Water is the best alternative. Always available. Zero cost. Zero calories. Who doesn't like water?

I only really drink socially, but I do it for both reasons. I like feeling a little buzzed AND I really enjoy the taste of red wine, ice wine, and IPA beers. I don't like hard liquor, unless it's in a cocktail like a Moscow mule. And I don't like white wines other than moscatos.

If i don’t feel it, i don’t bother. I suppose the vernacular can be debated because i often end up visibly intoxicated but i rarely think to myself “I’m drunk!”. I don’t lose my words, but sometimes i slur my speech. I don’t black out. I don’t stumble and/or fall down. I don’t get sick and i’m never hung over. I call my typical condition “buzzed”, but some people might suggest that i was drunk. I wouldn’t argue the point. Ell oh ell!

Before I learned that alcohol was dangerous based on my DNA (so is a high iron content), I did it for fun. Maybe a beer with dinner or a margarita, nothing much. I only got blackout drunk once, I was in London and hadn't eaten anything. I remember finishing the second pint, I don't remember ordering three more or drinking them. My roommate at that time does. He told me that I made a good choice not to become a singer.

Alcohol doesn't taste any good, the way to enjoy it is to at least get buzzed. I drank when I turned 21 but it was always to get wasted. Then I puked so I got bored with it. I couldn't find a way to get drunk without puking every single time.

I think every time I drink the hope is not to get drunk! Just to enjoy the drink, or enjoy the company. But in my old days partying in New York City and wherever else, I definitely drank to get drunk. Fun times but not a good idea at my age
