Have you ever foraged edible wild plants?

I recently moved to a place with a garden that has tons of dandelion and catsear plants growing everywhere. It was exhausting constantly having to get rid of them once every few weeks with no rewards, so i looked up what else i could do with those weeds and found out it’s edible and makes really good salad. So i collected a bunch of dandelion/catsears leaves, boiled it for half an hour, squeezed all the water out, tossed it in rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds…. and that was the best salad i ever had.

Dandelion and catsears also got super pretty flowers so i would also collect a bunch once every few weeks and place them in a vase inside for decoration. The rest of the flowers, i would dehydrate them and store them in jars for tea. Recently i made a floral sirup out of the flowers as well and it kind of resembles honey which is great as me and my partner are vegan.
