Do you still use plastic containers at home?

I recently ditched all the plastic containers from my kitchen and replaced it with glass containers.

Plastic. Glass is heavy and uncomfortable to use and glass has often plastic lid or a rubber seal that can contain chemicals.
I wouldn't use old plastic containers which can contain Bisphenol A, I wouldn't use plastic container for reheating of food in microwave either. However for cold storing are plastic food safe plastic containers okay.

I think baking sleeves and baking paper are more concerning than storing cold food in plastic containers.

Yes unfortunately I am still using those plastic storage containers.

I dont like the way glass feels or breaks.

dont the glass containers still have plastic lids? 🤔 the plastic that scares me is the kind I dont notice. I just try not to heat stuff in plastic or with a microwave. Container to save stuff I prefer to be plastic so they can be tossed sometimes 😵 lol

Main reason why I swapped my plastic containers for glass is because I always pack my Husband's lunch and didn't like that he was re-heating his food at work in the same plastic container I packed his food in.

Lol, thats awesome! I need to go write that down as a Life goal, find a women i love enough to throw away all my plastic and use glass.

Yeah, I try not to use any plastic anymore. I just use glass

If you look at all the foods that other countries don't allow, but we still allow them and it's basically killing us same as plastics, but if we don't care the EPA and our government's not going to care. So we have to do it on our own

I have replaced a lot of plastic containers with glass but I still keep cereal , rice, crackers and other foods that can go stale in these Lock and Lock containers.

I have something similar for dry foods too. I use glass containers mostly for cooked food.

My containers are glass but like yours they use recycled plastic lids that seal with a silicone gasket.

Yea it's really hard to completely get rid of plastic.

Yes, even the reuseable grocery bags thst have been shoved down our throats and forcdd to use thst ghe gtocery stores make a fortune on are made of non woven polypropylene which is a plastic.
