It would no surprise me. I get very discouraged at some of my students. They cannot do basic math. I used to give a term paper as an assignment and some of the papers I got looked like they were done by a fifth grader. I cannot put all the blame on the students. Most of the fault is afailing public school system.

I think if I got a coherent term paper I would be suspicious. There is an app the college subscribes to that uses a database of termpapers for sale. Professors I know have turned up a few students that have used them. i imagine an AI detector is available or will be shortly.
