Do you color eggs?
I don't want to use chemicals. Chemistry won't vanish. It goes in the water & the ground, the plants & animals and back to our body.

I have not colored eggs since I was very young. I believe the coloring came from tablets that were dropped in vinegar, so they were undoubtedly made of food coloring.
Right. In the medieval age they used nature for colors. So back to the roots. Why not using what you maybe have and don't need to buy?
I guess last time was 20 years ago. Was spontaneously.
Happy to hear this.
that does sound like a good idea...
we used to buy natural dyes
Onions, turmeric maybe you have at home. Beets... well you need fresh. So you needn't to buy.
yes, I know... but I ate all that, lmao
Yes, we have this colors also in our stores.
she's a unicorn
I love naturally dyed eggs 🌈
Turmeric, like you used, gives that beautiful warm yellow. I also simmer eggs with red onion skins for deep brick red, purple cabbage for blue, beetroot for soft pink and spinach or parsley for light green.
I usually add a splash of vinegar to help the color set and let the eggs sit in the cooled dye for richer tones.

You boil the eggs first then you put them in Easter egg coloring, dye
Nope, why waiting? I added the turmeric and then I start boiling. So the contact with they eggs is longer.
And of course a splash of vinegar.
Oh thats not traditional German way. I don't think much people use natural colors as I did. It was very successful with turmeric = yellow. I used powder.
Wanted to try out. I did 6 eggs so I don't know if I want to color again. With another color.
I don't have one to share and Noone who shares with me Easter. I miss this family time.
Yes :β§
I don't celebrate religious holidays, but I color the eggs because they look pretty. I like natural colors too.
