Everyone should know it's a 3-1 meat to cheese ratio. So your regular school lunch ham and cheese sandwich will typically get 3 pieces of ham and one slice of cheese.
Now if you get home from school before your parents do like us latch key kids, you still gotta abide by this ratio... EXCEPT... No one is home so you do 6 pieces of ham and 2 pieces of cheese and laugh maniacally while eating it
Depends on the thickness. Wafer thin meats (Buddig, etc) get more, maybe 6-8. If I have made the cuts off of a ham, it might be more like one or two. Cheese? Always one slice of American or cheddar.
How I typically make myself a ham & cheese sandwich:
1 slice of cheddar cheese on top of
3 slices of ham with mayo thinly spread in between each slice of ham and
1 slice of swiss cheese underneath;
all in between 2 thin-sliced buttermilk bread
Doesn’t the mayo poop out when you bite down?

Yes, sometimes.

Thank you for the MHO. :)
Usually 2 but it depends on ham.
I have often home made smoked ham in one piece and I don't have a cutting machine, just a sharp knife and often those slices a little bit thicker.
For a simple ham and cheese sandwich, I usually go with three slices of ham 🥪
Two slices feel a bit thin, but three give that nice meaty bite without overpowering the cheese. When I was in a tiny café in Bologna, the nonna behind the counter used exactly three thin slices of prosciutto cotto, and it was perfectly balanced.

It's processed meat in a processed carb holding shell so I avoid Tom..
But I do love grilled beef and salad in a quality dark bread shell , had one last night.
that's funny i just had grilled ham & cheese today for the first time in a long time. it had 2 slices of Swiss and 3 slices of ultra thin ham and was just perfect.
Depends how thinly sliced the ham is. The thinner the slices are, the more slices I pile on.
Zero, I'm a vegetarian... ok, I put five slices of Smoked Seitan Ham :P
I have not made a sandwich with that kind of ham and cheese in years. I usually make one using crudo, prosciutto or capicola and fresh mozzarella on a baguette or soft Italian bread.
Wen I’m grilling a grilled cheese sandwich on the frying pan in butter I put two slices of American cheese and if I feel like him, I’ll put one slice that makes a good sandwich and press it down with the spatula
I usually use several because when I buy ham I have it sliced thin,
A sandwich is massive meat and cheese wrapped in a thin covering of bread.
Well I'm very particular when it comes down to my sandwich. I like my ham sliced thin and fried im a pan then put on my bread with cheese and toasted in the pan until my bread is tosted and the cheese is melted
If the meats don’t outweigh all other components of the sandwich combined, feed it to the dog. It’s not fit for human consumption. Ell oh ell! I like to deluxe my sammiches. So my meat stack is usually pretty hefty.
depends on how hungry you are, but typically speaking, on a sandwich sliced ham and cheese sandwich, one slice of cheese and 3 slices of ham.
I usually put at least four slices of ham on the sandwich.
One slice of ham, and no cheese. When I was growing up food was scarce.
@AviatorTom Normally, I avoid both, ham and cheese, but not always. Usually do not make sandwiches.
Zero. Ham is basically solid cancer, you should not be eating that shit.
Depends on ham thickness. Usually two.
How about none?
Typically just one thin slice.
Depends on the type of ham
@AviatorTom Two DP
