why use more than 1? peanut butter and jello on a knife does not hurt the sandwich, the real question is do you prefer the peanut butter or jelly on the top of the sandwich you know peanut butter on tp f the jelly or the jelly on top of the peanut butter? >.> i prefer the peanut butter on top of the jelly >.>
Just one, I wipe off the knife with a paper towel after I dip it in the peanut butter.
I use a knife to spread the peanut butter and a spoon to spread the jam.
Also a fork if its a crumpet I have to split, or a sharp knife in the process to slide fresh baked bread.
One, but I wipe it with a paper towel in between the two spreads. I loath cross contamination - don’t even get me started on toast crumbs in the butter *shakes fist*

Only one knife Bella and that's the right answer. You spread the peanut butter first and make a good faith effort to wipe it clean on the bread. But peanut butter being what it is you're not gonna really get much residue left behind in the jelly jar when you use the same knife for the jelly.
#PBJ
4... one to slice the bread, one to butter it one to spread the peanut butter and one for the sugar free jam... im not mad though. i use the same bread slicing knife to cut the sandwich in half
Just one, I don't really like jelly/preserves. I make a PB and banana sandwich with a drizzle of honey somtimes - and I use just 1 knife to spread the PB then slice the banana 😋
Personally I dont eat pb&j. They're kind of gross to me after watching my kids eat them so often. I just buy them uncrustables since they're more convenient.
All I need is one (1) knife.
I'd wipe the knife on another slice of bread before I scoop from another bottle.
I use the knife for the jelly first, then lick it clean, then the peanut butter, then lick it clean again and toss it in the sink :)
I only need one knife too. Either wipe on the bread or run it under the water :)
If you don’t want jelly in the peanut butter jar, or you don’t want peanut butter in the jelly jar, the you obviously lick the knife before putting it in.
Never had one. But I'd use three. A bread knife to cut the bread and two separate knives to spread.
now these are the questions that matter. The answer is simple, one. You use the strawberry first, then peanut butter. Just incase someone has a peanut allergy and they want to use the strawberry jam.
1. First I spread the jelly then rinse the knife. The spread the peanutbutter.
peanut butter and jam sandwiches never really appealed to me tbf I love jam, but peanut butter seems to leave a bad sensation in the roof of my mouth...
I usually use 1 this way I can cut it in half with no problem
Zero. Usually just the threat of a knife is enough to convince someone to make it for me
I don't use knives. I use a table spoon for the peanut butter and a teaspoon for the preserves.
Look, i dont like to tell people how to live their lives, but what you are doing, its wrong.
Stop that.
You know what you are?
You are the sort of guy who uses a fork to eat soup and then complains that its cold.
(Im only playing, well, kind of? What you are doing is so suboptimal that its offensive to me, but fine, whatever, make your sandwiches however you like.)
@Guffrus actually there is logic to my madness. Lol first off you have to keep dipping into the jar for condiment if you use a knife. Spoons won't miss an ounce. Secondly my dad is gluten intolerant. To avoid getting bread in the jar i use a large enough spoon to get what i need so i only have to scoop once of peanut butter. For jelly i do not like a lot of preserves in my sandwich and plus its easier to plop the jam off the spoon without touching the bread if i need another scoop. Then the back of the spoon is ideal for spreading the condiments. 😎
Hmm..
Yes, i see.
Fair enough, that actually does make sense. Though i dont have a problem scooping all the peanut butter out of the jar with a knife but maybe your jars are different or something, some times those things can be easier with a spoon.
I hadn't considered the extra variables of gluten avoidance etc, i thought you were just a crazy person.
@Guffrus nope you are right i am crazy. At least my girl friends tell me i am. 😂
One knife to make the sandwich, and 5 other people to turn the ladder.
One.
I use a paper towel to wipe off the remnants of peanut butter, then I apply the jelly.
a knife for the peanut butter and a spoon for the jelly.
One knife for the peanut butter, one spoon for the jelly
