1. They Are Sexually Liberated

You read a lot about how important it is to be “sexually liberated” these days. More than ever, there’s an emphasis on being confident in your body, and not ashamed of being sexual as a woman.When women wear a low cut top that bares their cleavage and a skirt that leaves little to the imagination, it isn’t necessarily a means of getting attention. They hate sugar coating things to make people feel better. They are always straightforward and honest and hate sending mixed signals.It’s important to be decisive and to not beat around the bush too much when it comes to making decisions. Especially important decisions.

3. Bad Girls Don’t Need Approval

Bad girls wake up in the morning and live their lives to make themselves happy.

They’re a little self-centered, and that’s OK.

Being sexually liberated and being promiscuous are not the same thing. Promiscuity is not a positive trait, whether male or female. Bad girls are labeled "bad" for a reason and a good one. I'm what people would call a good girl, and I possess all these traits in good ways, not the bad and unpleasant ones you've mentioned.

1.) I am comfortable in my sexuality. I've only been with one person, my boyfriend and he and I are going to get married. I am so comfortable in myself, my sexuality, and my body that I don't flaunt those things around. I keep them to myself and only the man I love gets to see those things. Whenever we're intimate it is a mix of being wild, expressing love, and bonding. I'm a very sexual woman, but just with one person and one person only.

2.) I am blunt. I am an open an honest person. If you ask me how I feel I will tell you, however I am considerate of people's feelings and I'm aware of what is and isn't appropriate. There's a difference between being honest and being an ass. I'm honest, but I don't need to be an ass about it.

3.) I don't need approval. I am comfortable in who I am and in my life decisions. Since I am so satisfied in who I am as a person I enjoy focusing on the happiness of others. Not needing approval isn't synonymous with not giving a f*ck. Not needing approval means being so secure and whole as a person that you enjoy sharing that wholeness with others. I enjoy making my man happy. Bringing others happiness makes me happy. Being whole means focusing on others, on the people you love. Being whole isn't being self centered.

- It's your timeless contradiction. I know what the argument is, but it's still the case that chicks dress that way for attention more than not, yes.

I don't think most men like bad girls or think they're sexy, not by a long shot in fact. Some guys do, but most are not interested. If we don't even like "bitches" what makes you think we'd like bad girls? The whole bad person mentality and appeal is more of a female type of thinking, and just stupid. Why would - or should - anybody see badness or promiscuity as the most desired thing?

None of those qualities are any of a bad girl. They are of a 'confident girl'

A bad girl is someone who doesn't care about you nor your feelings or about you as a person and I don't know what's up with people that seem and keep confusing the two!
A free, expressing, independent girl is NOT a bad girl... but an independent woman.. So people need to stop hating and trying to label them 'bad"..

A couple of the other posters are confusing this with bitchiness. That's incorrect. This isn't bitchiness. It's NOT being a bitch -- it's more like being a "bad bitch". Generally speaking, a bad bitch isn't a bitch unless she HAS to be one -- because she's too classy to be one otherwise. That's beneath her.

Where to start? You can start with eye contact. There's a certain, awesome, piercing gaze, with which women can simply own the world.
If you're a girl, and you live in a big city with sidewalks full of people, you can even go out for "target practice". Just pick random boys, meet their gaze, and stare them down. Play a game with yourself, and award yourself points if they break the stare before you do. Overall I tend to agree with you, but what you said simply isn't true for those women for whom the majority of men will see as physically unattractive.

While I used Lizzy as an extreme example (because others are reading this and it might not seem so obvious), I most certainly don't need to use her as an example. I could look around where I am right now and see what you just said would not work for at least a third of the women I am able to see. They don't look as bad as Lizzy, but physical unattractiveness is often much more subtle. A bad girl is not a cool thing to be - nor is it a good thing to be. Nope. Not fond of the first, promiscuity has many consequences especially if you want a relationship (partner count is directly linkable to rate of divorce/cheating ie the more partners the more likely the woman is to divorce/cheat). The good/bad boy/girl debate is getting old. Men and women generally don't like bad boys/girls. Men and women like ATTRACTIVE people. Sometimes that attractiveness makes other considerations take a back seat. If a guy goes for the above traits (much of which I don't consider "bad" at all), it is almost certainly because he finds her physically attractive, not because she's a "bad girl."

If this woman, Lizzy Velasquez, exhibited ANY of the above traits I, nor any man I know personally, nor I'm willing to bet 99% of all men, would not find her attractive. For the record, I am very sorry for her plight and I greatlyrespect her as a person.

I guess I imagine people who sleep around, drink a lot, do drugs, party and have that “I don’t give a fuck” attitude.

I think what happens is that a lot of time the bad girls and the bad boys will hang out and hookup due to mutual interests but it’s also fairly common for a more modest girl to fall for a bad boy due to his looks, charm or just the excitement that being with him brings her. I don’t think its as common for modest guys to fall for those kind of girls. So what happens is girls see that guys will often hookup with the “bad girls” and think guys want a girl who drinks and parties all the time as a girlfriend when the reality is usually that the girl is offering easy sex and that’s why the popular guys go for them. Guys see the “bad boys” get most of the bad girls as well as a few of the good girls and assume its all because they are assholes when its really because of their looks, charm, and excitement.

I don’t believe girls want a guy who mistreats them or cheats but I do think a fair amount of girls find the idea of an attractive confident guy, who comes across as tough, cool, mysterious, and unavailable but chooses her out of all the other girls and has a soft side that only she gets to see. That she is the only one who gets his emotional vulnerability.

And that guys like the idea of a girl who seems sweet and innocent but has a more wild and sexually uninhibited side that only he gets to see. That he is the only one that gets her physical vulnerability. So that’s partly why I think modest guys are less likely to fall for the “bad girls”.

Interesting. The two of the traits you listed (drinking, doing drugs) would come under my "unwise" category. Not necessarily bad. As for partying a lot and having many sexual partners, those don't really bother me. I have met my share of guys labeled "bad boys" who aren't bad men at all. At least not in my opinion or the opinions of people I know.
