I don't text first because usually when I do they don't pick up on the whole "I'm hitting on you" part. ITS SO ANNOYING

nothing wrong with letting the guy hit
you up first until you two become friendly. then your "not texting first" will become a problem.

I imagine it is the same deal with guys.
Though personally, I hate texting.
I have texted people first when I was young but it was a waste of time and I never got a girl that way anyway.

After reading this, my conclusion was that if girls really wanted to text me, they would. If girls liked me, they would put in the effort to basically 'chase' me, I'm too shy, so I could never take the initiative.
