Hi! Cool MyTake :)
So 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' is talking about this right?
Thanks! I'm actually talking about the fact that physical appeal is only an aspect of beauty, beauty itself is deeper than that and harder to achieve; it doesn't only depend on a nice face or body
Oooh I understand what you mean now :) Well, that's beautiful and I wish everyone will think that way because people mostly care about outer appearances and they forgot the real beauty inside.
:) Thank you for your appreciation and understanding!!! you made my morning!
I'm glad to hear that! Honestly, I think this MyTake needs to be seen by lots of people lol XD
:) I'm sure it will be! It'll get there! I only posted this last night, and there is already so much involvement!
So, you are saying beauty is subjective.
That's always been the case.
Good take
I;m saying that ugliness is a form of beauty :) Thank you for your time reading my take!!!
That's correct. However, they shouldn't become too ugly, since that shows lack of good health.
But if a beautiful face is accompanied by a total cunt attitude, then I will not hesitate to kick her out.
Beauty is a physical term for me. Personality requires more in-depth descriptions
hmm interesting! care to explain?
If you call a person "beautiful on the inside" then that makes me question, okay, what about the people who are beautiful on the outside? Are they not beautiful on the inside as well?
Personality traits are subjective, beauty is more objective
the way I see it, not everything has to be perfect/ desireable to be beautiful. Kind of crazy to say but I'd like to see the beauty in things that people are scared to appreciate
I've never seen a perfect human being, I would agree. But what do you mean by the second sentence?
take for example a rusty old bike, some might look at that and go "ugh it looks so old, it's horrible etc" but I see it as, it's a natural process that is taking place, and the oxygen in the air is amazingly doing it's job of rusting the metal and breaking it down. Somehow I can see beauty in that
Lol okay and I see that as "Oh that's a shitty old bike." I'm AWARE that process is happening but it's so normal that it doesn't matter in the slightest
I'm sorry you can't understand, but really, it makes the world around you all that much more beautiful and real if you can just see beauty in good, in bad, in ugly, and just in everything. If you can see the beauty in catastrophes then you can understand why I think like this :)
I can't really agree, there. Like when Harvey hit Houston, I didn't say, "Oh look at how the seasons bring even more water through these ecosystems!" Or, when I see a messy amount of mold on my perfectly fine sandwich, I don't say, "Oh, nature, you silly thing!"
not quite like that, I think it's more realistic for me, it's a difficult concept to unpack :)
Sorry but I disagree
There are people that are universally considered attractive such as Brad Pitt or Margot Robbie and very few people would say they're not attractive
This shows that attractiveness is not subjective
Maybe for averagish people. But models and gods are universally beautiful
With men, it makes you wonder: Would Brad Pitt be considered attractive if he wasn't rich, or famous?
I saw a Netflix documentary on an experiment, where most women rated a guy a 2/10 when they saw him. Then, his income was shown-which was $500,000 per year as a brain surgeon, and the next group of women rated him a 7/10(or higher).
It goes to show how women are so into social status, and income. I see it all the time in real life too.
Well said gal.
2nd from bottom has a weird fucking smile tho. she's not amazing at all
lol you mean alexis ren? lol maybe you should look for a better picture of her, you'll probably change your mind about that
nah I've seen her insta. chick is not at all hot
lol, I'm kinda curious what girls you think are attractive, please name some :)
avi pic
is that your girlfriend? she's pretty
i have no clue who she is
lol whatever floats your goat
I agree with this. People tell me I'm beautiful all the time, and I personally don't see it. I'm overweight, and my face looks like a duck's. I hate my look.
YES! GOOD MYTAKE! :)
Everyoneeee is beautiful! But inside beauty is what matters the most! Once one is beautiful on the inside it will shine through on the outside as well!
If someone asks you if they are attractive , it would be wrong to say no? If I find someone unattractive and they ask me for my honest opinion am I supposed to lie?
that's not what I said. I said that it's fine to say they aren't attractive. I also said I don't believe everyone is physically appealing. But answering to whether or not they are beautiful is way more complicated than just being physically appealing. You have to know what they are like as a person and stuff, not just looks.
But they aren’t asking to rate their inner beauty. I’m just trying to understand that’s all
They shouldn't be asking people to rate their "beauty" they should be asking for a physical attractiveness/ appealing rate. There is a difference
Bullshit, Looks are 100% everything, Noone dates ugly people. Real life is no disney fairy tale.
lol has nothing to do with dating! Yea, I agree that I am not attracted to every single guy there is, but it doesn't make him not beautiful. I like to see it from my Picasso example: just because something doesn't appeal to you in anyway possible, doesn't mean it's not beautiful. There lots of beauty in this world that not every will be able to appreciate, and that includes me. I am trying to learn to appreciate things that don't appeal to me, especially because that helps me to be grateful when I find something stunning
plus, your wrong about looks being 100% everything. Anyday, I think you'd bang a somewhat attractive girl who knew how to make you feel good and stuff over a super hot girl who's awkward as hell and doesn't make you reach your max point.
''I am not attracted to every single guy there is''
''helps me to be grateful when I find something stunning''
The very fact you are not attracted to everyone, And you can refer to some people as ''stunning'', Is just proof that some people are more attractive then others, For you to find them stunning, By nature makes others less stunning (Uglier).
We are Human beings, Not art, Our beauty is not some fung-shwei 'point of view', 'eye of the beyholder' stuff, Were disgusting, horrible, vain, vile creatures who mentally dismiss people who dont meet someform of social / instinctual criteria of beauty standards.
Humans cannot be compared to art, We are not art, We are biological pieces of shit, Lmao.
''plus, your wrong about looks being 100% everything. Anyday, I think you'd bang a somewhat attractive girl who knew how to make you feel good and stuff over a super hot girl who's awkward as hell and doesn't make you reach your max point.''
Wouldn't bang any girl tbh, Their mentalities are absolutely venomous.
lol you are missing my point. just because I'm not attracted to something doesn't mean someone else doesn't know how to appreciate it's beauty. I don't; drink alcohol of any sort I think it's disgusting, unhealthy, and just bad, especially because I'm 16 and we made beer at school in bio class and I literally almost threw up because it was so bad. If you gave me the best wine in the world I;d probably spit it out in 0.3 seconds. but does the wine's value decrees/ beauty decrease just because I can't appreciate it? hell no. Who said art had to be beautiful? once again, I stated that in my MyTake. Art can literally be the nastiest thing you've ever seem but it's still art.
Nah, Some art is good, Some art is trash, Not everything has value.
"not everything has value" and everyone will argue on which ones are valuable. and your right, some art is trash but beauty never had to be sunshine and rainbows
There are so many more important things than beauty in this world.
the way I see it, the world is filled with beauty, example: landscape, nature, people, art, music, clothing, food, architecture; everything is art
I wouldn't say that everything is beauty or everyone is beautiful, but I would say that you can find beauty in anything and anyone.
That statement is a paradox. You basically just said not everything is beautiful, but then, you said it's possible to find beauty in everything
Actually it is not. Let me give example with acting. Suppose a woman is acting on screen, that she is a dancer, is practicing some moves but can't, and at last she finally could. Her entire acting could be horrible except the last shot where she exhales after she was finally successful. You could tell that one part was good, but overall it was meh.
I understand what you mean. But again, you are judging her dancing based on what you think her dancing should be like. If it doesn't turn out t be what you wanted to see, she made a "mistake". Back to my picasso example. I really like tumblr art and certain colours and what not. I think faces should look like proportional human faces to be art. But if I applied those standards to judge picasso's art, he's be a failing artist right there. but he's not. it's good to be open minded. as much as that dancer may not have reached the goal expected of her, she made her own dance/ art piece regardless of what others deem as flawed
That's definitely true. People have their own preferences of beauty. Part of it is subjective and one part of it is objective.
Dating someone who have some sort of disability worth it for guys like me at least they love you for being yourself . Normal girls are too shallow now a days most of them want tall , rich handsome men with expensive bike /cars.
Beauty can be in apperance, personality and other reasons that I can't think of right now.
For me it attractive faces define beauty because attractive faces are mathematically symmetrical.
it's funny, because according to humans, humans are the most complicated things in the world. and according to our own standard, mathematics and science dictate beauty but it really doesn't. I don't go up to a tree and judge how straight all the limbs are. I can appreciate the beauty of all the parts of the tree and its differences with other trees. All the standards we compare everything to was made by us. Think about it, we kill animals because we believe we are more important than them. lots of it also relates to religion, but again, not all people believe in it.
However, we use physical looks like symmetry to determine the health of an individual to mate.
You can have your opinion but the manner in which humans act is accordance with instinct
:) I know what you mean, I appreciate your opinion but I feel like true art doesn't have any standards at all. No proportions no nothing. It's just art the way it is. Not all art is sunshine and rainbows in my opinion
You’ve gotta have a mix of everything to be beautiful
Well said :)
If you really look at some of the most beautiful people they often have glaring imperfections.
I agree 100% with you. You could be the most attractive person on earth but if your selfish and mistreat people the attractiveness means nothing

baked outta ten or raw, whichever you'd prefer :)
but at the end of the day, you're a beautiful potato
I always prefer raw lol
but I know hun im beautiful +_+ thank you
Physical beauty/attractiveness and emotional beauty/attractiveness are equally important, and they both affect each other.
can yo explain more?
How the affect each other?
they*
yeah
You're right-- attractive faces don't dictate beauty... attractive faces AND attractive bodies dictate beauty.
