This is great, thanks for bringing light to the definiation of feminism, I see myself as a feminist, and often times I get weird looks because of it, but I really don't care, because it's something I'm passionate about. Everyone regardless of sex, gender, race, creed, nationality, ethnicity, etc, every human should have the same, equal rights, without any favouritism.
Yes, there is a clear difference between feminists (who believe in live and let live, who want to make sure women have equal rights) and feminazis (who are dogmatic, rude, authoritative and think women who like traditional lifestyles are brainwashed by men). Not all feminists are feminazis. Not all feminazis are feminists. And no, feminazi's aren't Hitler supporters, but they are ridiculously uptight.
lol why don't you try and refute them? it wasn't radical feminist that changed these things it was feminist. also what's with you and thinking the double standard has anything to do with equality. people are free to think how they think. if men value chastity and women don't as much then exactly what about that is unequal. both had the equal choice to make a conclusion on how they view sex and if the outcomes are different then so what. so there is no double standard just different conclusions
no I didn't. also why have you not refuted any of my claims. the wage gap myth perpetuated by feminist, the false domestic violence claims, rape shield laws, divorce laws, and equal reproductive rights. all things feminism fought for and all things that give women an unfair advantage in this nation
well being a feminist means you don't believe in equal rights. it means you believe in extra rights for women. also it is you who needs reading comprehension seeing you were implying a stance that you held that I didn't. which if you actually read my responses to that question you would understand. you are elitist because you think you are right but know very little facts. lets just start with the wage gap. does it even exist. no it doesn't women decide to make less money then men
girl women who cares as long as she's legal.
medical professional would fall under science which I said was a good reason to go to school. so apparently you are elitist and you can't read. good for you and feminist alike. you represent the hate movement well
well it is credible seeing men like younger women, the data supports this. also yes wikipedia is just as good as most college degrees you thinking its not shows your ignorant elitist mind set. allso you never explained yourself. your points were refuted and had nothing to back it up with, so yes I do win
also through anecdotal evidence I would say feminist do not support equal reproductive rights. what I mean by this is feminist are for having the option to an abortion regardless of the fathers desires. at the same time they are against allowing a man to forgo all of his responsibilities both emotionally and financially regardless of the womens choice to abort or now. this would mean a post conception choice for both people and therefore it would be equal choice.
lets talk about the wage gap. its simply not real, women choose to earn less money then men by the type of work they go into and the time they put into their jobs. feminism keeps telling us women are discriminated against and its trying to brain wash people into believing there is a wage gap. with this whole national equal pay day saying it takes women four more months to earn what men earned last year. its nonsense. so that is an example of women wanting privilege. equal pay for unequal work
well try me lets take one topic at a time. thomas bell is not the face of the mra and neither are people who say kids should be married off. it seems like you are confusing certain people with the entire movement. were ass the people in charge of feminist organizations are actually man hating and for female privilege. see there is a huge difference there. also women are far more likely to kill children then men are so you saying he is abuse is an example sure but its not a valid argument at all.
the mra is not a hate movement. the mra is the most level headed equality movement since first wave feminism. modern feminism has no place in the modern world. feminism tell out right lies. the rape statistic is a lie. also men are the primary victims of domestic violence yet we need a vawa act which is absurd. women fought for no fault divorce as well as primary custody of children which is complete bullsh*t. feminist lobby time and time again has fought for female privilege and not equality
I have a friend who's a sort-of-extreme-feminist and she is very competitive around men that she becomes embarrassing whenever she's around when I'm flirting. That's why I don't hang with her a lot anymore. I'm a feminist myself but I like superior men. They're just more attractive when they're manly.
I would use the term humanist more, but women are more targeted than men in terms of sexism IMO. Think of Chile, China, Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, etc., and those "intellectual, logical" individuals of more industrialized nations like the U.S. who share the sentiments of hatred toward females...
Thank you very much for your comments, Brovak.
This is what I am not happy with, as a feminist: link
Also the argument that young teens are prepared for having sex and motherhood is utter BS and an excuse for ephebophilia and pseudoscience.
Thanks Brovak. I think a guy has every right to hit back or restrain a woman in self-defense IF she started attacking him, really is trying to hurt him, has a weapon, etc. That's common sense. But if a guy started hitting me without me hitting him first, given how weak, nonviolent and delicate I am, he would be completely in the wrong, like hitting a child.
16-17 is the age of a GIRL, not a woman.
Ignorant elitist? How is it ignorant and elitist to say that you can't gain the knowledge of a medical professional (in school for 6+ years) through Wikipedia? If you really want to make yourself look smart and less creepy, write your own article...
No, I refuse to explain myself to you again over and over. You don't "win." Plus, someone who claims Wikipedia can be as good as a college education and seems to advocate ephebophilia like yourself (paraphrase; "16-17 year olds on the market will make it harder for women in their 30s to find relationships") isn't credible.
Alright, all that stuff you spouted there was just... No. Thomas Ball setting himself on fire because he was abusive and couldn't get his child back? MRAs constantly saying how single mothers should be prostitutes and how girls should be married off before 18? Spare me.
Uhm, no. Actually most MRAs are part of a hate movement. Feminism is opposed to the oppression/subjugation of women by men (e.g. Saudi Arabia) but doesn't hate men themselves. Again, there are plenty of guys who are feminists and don't hate their gender...
There seems to be this growing trend of the glorification of virginal women and shaming women with any past sexual partners, single motherhood, etc. Meanwhile, any male who can get a girl drunk enough to sleep with him, or says he loves her to get into her pants, is either exalted for conning those dang "more trouble than they're worth" women, waved off as a "boys will be boys case," or the girl is blamed for being "stupid." How is that not misogyny, the fetishization of exploiting women?
