I don't belong to any. I've never cheated and never would.
If I did what you did and asked for everyone's cheat stories, they would all look at me in shock and no-one would have any stories to tell. You have a "unique" group of friends.

Not all girls cheat. I can honestly say in my almost 43 years I never have. Not that I have never been tempted (during my first marriage to an abusive asshole there was a guy friend who was really nice to me.. But still I did not go there). I'm old fashioned and as a Christian it's just not right in my belief. I'm not judging anyone else. That's not my place. For me, however, I could not in good conscience do that to my husband. I'm married to a wonderful man that I love with all my heart and I could never do that to him or to us. Even if I knew for a fact he would never find out.. I would know and more importantly.. God would know. Guilt would eat me alive. I love my husband too much to do that to him.

Fuck you myTake owner. She's not a rare gem. Just a good person with good morals and there are many out there just like her. Certainly far more of her kind than your trashy friends. Most women do not cheat on their husbands, most women do not cheat on their boyfriends and most women who do still see it as a disgusting act that should never be glorified in the way you have done.

I'm the avenger... all these holier than thou people responding obviously haven't been cheated on. I have and I'm totally against cheating but it changed me. After two boyfriends doing this I realized I was different. So I do cheat but only if I feel they have done so. I also realize I shouldn't stay with someone I don't trust but it takes time to move on when you're in love so in the meanwhile revenge sex it is and oh so marvelous. But I don't ever get caught but I make my bf get nervous but without any evidence to accuse. Give them a dose of their own medicine. I don't care if it's immature... Welcome to the new me... I always know... I say 'I feel' cause what's cheating on me is not necessarily to them eg. 'I feel' them talking to other girls online in an intimate manner is cheating... They say it's not cause nothing physical happened.

No, it really isn't. I don't have one friend who has ever cheated on her man and neither have I. I do know several guys that have/do cheat, though.

I just think a lot of women lie about not cheating. So it's a double cheat. Society worships womanizers or players, but if women come out and admit to an indiscretion, they are bitches or whores. There is a double standard here. I'm not a champion of cheating, but life is messy and things happen when you're vulnerable or stressed. No need to beat yourself up for being human and imperfect. Sharing those stories heal and allow people to put their behavior into perspective, whether it's good, bad or ugly. Alcohol was the truth serum. Some women DO cheat, and these are just the things I noticed about the ones I personally know. Too bad more could not be as unabashed and honest... An aside: not all the men they cheated on were angels either. Thanks for your your opinion!
There is a difference between being a womanizer or a player and a cheater.
Being a womanizer or a player means that you are very skilled at seducing women, and use this to get many women in to bed. This isn't bad at all unless the guy is some manipulative asshole. It just means the guy likes casual relationships and he's good at them. I don't see any problem if women like casual too but this still is no relation to cheating.
A cheater is someone who is in a relationship where both people are supposed to have feelings and are both supposed to trust each other. They go behind their partner's back and break the trust. They are greedy and sly. Many expect that they can get away with it and love how their partner has no idea. They are the kind of people who should be having casual relationships but have decided to break someone else's heart while they have their fun.
There is no double standard. Men and women cheaters are both looked on by society with disgust.

Many years too late I may have discovered why, the polyamorous label has only just been revealed to me and I feel it fits me so well and explains why I always had such issue with fidelity. I find it a battle to stay uninvolved with other men, not a battle to resist my sexual urges but a battle to resist forming emotional attachments that aren't strictly platonic. I love my partner with all my heart but I still enjoy forming bonds with others and it does make me sad I can't. I know my LTP would never understand, he is a strictly monogamous man.

It has nothing to do with polyamoury, it has to do with the fact that you where never monogoumus to begin with. Monogamy is somethin we choose, and we do so because it is the best way of maintainging a society, the best way of raising a family, it is the best way of insuring our partners happyness. What you feel, thats what every man has felt from the very begining. The issue is you just never new/bothered to create a coping mechanism. Cheating is wrong its unhealthy and its destructive not just to families, not just to the spouse cheated on, but to society itself, all of it rest on our trust and the family unit which your polyamourus label is destroying. Its called dealing with it, your significant others have done so, you have no excuse not to either.

My ex cheated on me with her "best friend" aka the guy she really loved and was just to stubborn and afraid to go for. Not really sure where that fits in here. Probably a little bit of 1 and a little bit of 6 since just because she was pretty close to both those reasons as her excuses.

Honestly, I don't think there's one type of person that would cheat over the other. I don't think it can be broken down into category's. I also know, I would never and could never cheat on anyone. I could never hurt anyone like that.
