Talking to girls: It's not any different from talking with the boys

So I'm gonna level with you; I'm 17 now and nowadays girls like me. I'm good looking and I'm good with girls. However, this is something that's come along in the past year.

15 year old me had no idea how to talk with a girl. It wasn't until I was 16 that I kind of figured it out. If you look at every girl as "I am going to have sex with this girl" or "I am going to kiss this girl or make her my girlfriend" you won't get anywhere. You need to go up to a girl and talk with them, look for signs they throw at you (which there are a lot of it gets to a point it's pretty hard to miss lol)

If you just go and talk with a girl you will get better at it. You'll get experienced and you'll be able to do it. Just like anything in this world the more you do it the better you get at it. Also when it comes to getting girls phone numbers just straight up ask a girl you're talking with for their phone number. They don't think it's weird. They want to talk with you as much as you want to talk with them. Especially if you're friends. But just like your friends don't just text them all the time unless you wanna do stuff.

What I'm trying to get across is it may be difficult to talk to girls because you haven't grown up enough. But you will grow up and be able to talk with them. If you're older than me than you just need to realize you just talk with them about anything. If you don't know what to talk about, talk about parties, school, work. There's a million things to talk about. You just need to know how to small talk. It's not difficult, you've just gotta make it like Nike and:

Yeah shortly after I turned 16 was when I joined yearbook, Link Crew (freshmen orientation crew basically), and got a job. I became exponentially better and better at talking to everyone and anyone, including girls.

Since then I've gained a ton of female acquaintances and friends that I never thought I'd have. And its great. Girls are really fun to talk to!

All I did was stop giving a fuck about what people thought about me. And now I'm surrounded by people who like me for ME, which sounds cheesy but its fucking awesome.

I agree. I think guys actually believe that girls are something out of the movie "Mean girls" when that's not actually the case.

90% of us are genuinely nice, and the other 10% will let you down easily (not in a bitchy way).

I still think most guys see girls in a sexual way, but still- you can have a conversation regardless.

Ya that's what I'm trying to get across in this even when I wasn't good with girls I could still talk with them but now it's just girls see me in that way so it's easier to talk with them. But you've gotta treat it like you're talking with your friends because just because a person has something different between their legs doesn't mean they're not human lol

Well I'd say for the most part guys like girls who are hot and easy however I don't want to bang a girl who's banged pretty much every guy in my friend group lol but in addition to that I feel kind of similar in respects to girl friends they tell me they like me but they're such good friends I don't want it to go any further and it always back fires because they don't want to be friends afterwards :(

Yeaaaa, being 15 right now, I really don't want a relationship, I do in the future (20s) but no in High School. There is very quiet girl, she's blonde, tall (like the same height as me but seems tall), and expressionless. She's alone most of the time and as am I. I'm the dark type (Thank Jimmy Page for that), quiet, isolated, or the kid that just sits there with an expressionless face sort of. Now not wanting to make her my girlfriend doesn't help very much, still can't talk to her, for the first time. I don't know anything about her, name, classes (I know one of her classes, not with me), anything so she is a complete mystery. We pass each other often on campus, but I don't do anything...

But honestly man learn her name if she's in one of your classes just one day say something to her like "Hey can you help me with this?" and then one day maybe be like "Hey why don't you come sit over here." The thing is man you've got nothing to lose with her you don't really know here that well and you don't have any mutual friends so if you miss the boat with her then you didn't lose anything it was a win win either you can go live your life not thinking about her or you make a new friend who maybe you can date :)

Well she's not in any of my classes. She's in the same class, but a different period. I see her sometimes in Tutorial (Time where you can work in between classes) and quite a bit around campus.

Well, I don't know how much that would effect me. I'm just the type that doesn't care what anyone else thinks. I just do my own thing, and if someone doesn't like me, then why should I care? It's not like I'm popular or going to be, I'm the opposite of popular and I'm glad it's this way.

I don't agree with this take. You're using an absolute that all guys are the same. Many of us have no platonic interests about the opposite gender. I have no problem talking to girls and women at all. I just don't get along well with them as friends. Also there's been a lot of discussions online about how to have endless conversations with anyone by "not filtering what you say." If you don't filter what you say, then you'll look like a moron. However, it was an interesting take and keep writing.

Well here's the thing man, a girl is your "Girlfriend" my parents and I'm sure your parents would make the comment that they're each others' "Best Friends" you become friends and it goes from there or you start as something more but you have a base relationship as friends see what I'm saying?

I recommend asking for at least 3 numbers a day. That approach will get you in front of a lot of people, you will learn to counter objections, and you will lose the nerves.

Maybe once you get older like your age that's okay but in a highschool setting I'd say that's a little overboard lol you just have to go for it is all in my opinion and that's kind of what I was going for with this you just have to do it.

I think just talking to a girl and making small talk is a good start. Even if she doesn't end up liking you for more than just a friend its a win win because girls love the attention and you either just earned a new friend or a new girlfriend
