Initially I'd let him start the convo's. But then after we've established that we like each other, I'll start texting him first more. With that said, if I find something funny like a 9gag post that I think he'd enjoy or a video then I'd send it to the guy regardless of our status. Even if I hardly know him. That's just the kind of person I am.

I only text my guy friends, and I don't even think about who initiates.

I always wait for him to text. Always. I never text first unless if we went on a date on him. Then I'll text to say thank you and express how great the date was but usually they'll beat me to the text anyway.

I do that quite often. But to text the guy I'm interested in, I do that less. Really depends on our relationship. If we are like quite good friends, I don't care who text first. I text when I want to ask/share something and sometimes I don't even consider about the time.But if we are not quite close friends, I want us to initiate text message evenly. In this case...if he seldom texts me first, I will think he's not interested. I'll stop texting him unless there's really something I have let him know.
