IF sex lasted 20 hours a day, then yes, it would be the most important thing.

But there is something else called friendship, and matters of the heart, which fill in the hours that go between sex.

Which is why I tell people, to wait for sex, until the relationship is established, which can take months, and sometimes years. And only have sex on the honeymoon, not a moment before in my opinion. If you truly love each other you can wait.

I know of no woman who would be with a jerk but who is good at, what, thrusting?

I prefer to have sex in a relationship, of course. The best way to really bond to and know someone.
I've been in sexless relationships too. They didn't last years. It was frustrating but I preferred that to no relationship at all [with those girls].

(and -with hindsight- the sex wasn't that awesome)

Just got out of a relationship a few months back where the only thing that made me happy was the sex.. after being fed up with his mistreatment I left him and found someone new a couple months after. He treated me right and the sex is mind blowing. I thought i was having good sex till I got to know my boyfriend! I've been missing out! If you want awesome sex, it needs to be with someone you're happy with. It makes the sex even better :-)
