+1 yYes there is definitely a certain double standard. I have seen SO many good looking guys get away with the most ridiculous things and I don't even mean funny pickup lines or anything like that. I mean like literally unapropriate and unrespectful behavior or even straight up harassment but it works because the girl finds them cute.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb42A5m-lw4
I've been called creepy and obsessed simply for genuinely loving and caring about someone. Of course we all know love is a form of obsession, duh. But it's a negative obsession if you aren't their type and a positive obsession if they like you back.
Another example is how some will get offended if you just normally stare and/or smile at them. But if a good looking guy leers their whole body in an awkward and invasive way it's considered flirtatious somehow and no longer uncomfortable.
Of course I know not all girls are like this. But completely denying this phenomenon exists is really insulting intelligence lol.
Also I agree with JennaMarbles when she says everyone of us are all huge creeps, since creep really is just a pejorative term for being curious or interested. We just label people we aren't attracted to as creeps.74 Reply- +1 y
read my post lol i agree with you and the op...

Ah, that video is so good :D this is a well-deserved MHO

you got my upvote for jennamarbles, not because I agree with what you said.

It is shitty behaviour to be called out a creep or even pervert, just for expressing a complement or passionate gesture, just because you ain't got the looks of a Greek god and happen to be a normal or average looking fella. If the roles were reversed, I'd don't think they'd like it either!

for the most part i feel the same and if your so called ugly just work on being a cool ass person... and you'll attract a lot of people in general
Asker+1 yYou can't help the way you look unless you have $$$$ for plastic surgery. And this is what my question was about a good looking guy can get away with bragging about being good looking. Whereas if a non good looking guy brags about his looks he's conceded and fooling himself.
- +1 y
lmao yea i agree but to an certain extent I CAN TELL YOU RIGHT NOW IF YOUR ARROGANT AND HANDSOME SORRY your become ugly "i let other float my boat and like i always say good people know damn well they look good since they give flirted with or stared at all day " but if you dont carry your self properly it doesn't matter
if an ugly guy PLAYS HIS CARD RIGHT HE BECOMES FUCKING SEXY TO GIRLS LOL
he might not look like an 8+ but if he acts like it... he is all good to go
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThere are no double standards. It's all in their heads. I think it's just certain guys give off a certain vibe and the girls are turned off. I hate when people complain that they get treated differently because of their looks. People don't treat good-looking people better than ugly people. I talk from experience. I was born disfigured in the face, and people are so nice to me. Other than in elementary school, I haven't been made fun of. People are willing to do things for me. Yet I see girls or guys on here who don't have a disfigurement on here complaining about how they are treated because of their looks. I highly doubt it. A friend of mine who thinks she's ugly (she's not) had never had a boyfriend and she blames it on her looks. I've been in a long term relationship since I was 21. I just turned 28.
Girls definitely do not treat ugly guys and differently from good looking guys. They just need confidence.15 Reply
Asker+1 yI'm sure your not that badly disfigured? But if I may ask have your ever questioned maybe the reason I get treated so well is because they feel bad about the way I look? And your more likely to get mad fun of if your male than female because everyone comes to the girls rescue. Believe me I've seen it. And again its easier to be female and disfigured like you said and getting a date then it is to be a male and disfigured its facts.
Opinion Owner+1 yI've never seen anyone get made fun of for their looks. I doubt you do, you're over the age of 25. I've known plenty of males who aren't the best looking who can get dates. One guy I know is both overweight and not so handsome in the face and he can charm girls. A lot of his handsome friends are jealous of the way he can get girls.
I've never questioned why people treat me so well. I'm sure they just want to be nice. Why feel bad for me? I have a good life.- +1 y
lol but there is an undeniable correlation between looks and confidence/self-esteem. A good looking person will obviously be 100x more optimistic, confident and outgoing than someone who isn't a 9/10.
Yes I agree with you there are some people who look decent and somehow still think they are ugly. That's more related to personality disorders and/or depression I think which they have very little control over.
It's also extremely difficult or even impossible for someone to feel confident or good about themselves when they are constantly rejected, humiliated/called creeps and being made self concious of their flaws. Of course it's something most women cannot really understand because they rarely make the first step/break the ice so they do not get to experience the same kind of repetitive negative treatment and resulting downwards spiral of confidence/self-esteem. After a while even a good looking guy can start feeling unattractive if he keeps receiving negative feedback like this.
Asker+1 y@Opinion Owner I've been made fun of and even witness it myself. Maybe that guy you know is hung like a horse or has money stacked away somewhere? And to VulcanHades agreed 110%. Women don't know what rejection feels like since its done by them.
- +1 y
I didn't say they don't know what rejjection is. I'm sure women get rejected too but not as often and certainly not as harsh. Since women approaching guys is so rare we tend to treat them more respectfully when they do. Even when we aren't interested I think most guys still appreciate and feel flattered I think.
+1 yAll unattractive guys don't give off the creepy vibe, only some do. As for the compliment comment, of course girls are more excited when an attractive guy compliments you. When a guy that I'm not interested compliments me I'm still flattered, but it means more to all people when the compliment is given by someone more attractive. No one ever said that looks don't matter.
Asker+1 yI agree looks do matter, but women shouldn't be treating ugly guys like crap either. Their people too you know.
- +1 y
Lol, well I don't speak for all women, but I don't treat someone like "crap" just for, well looking the way they were made to look. But I'm not going to try to coddle a guy and go out of my way to not make him feel "different" just because of his own insecurities.
+1 yGuys do it to girls aswell. It makes sense, there's been plently of studies proving that attractive people are treated better.

Such a delusion from the real deal. Not all women think an ugly guy is a "creep", unless he stalks her or verbally harasses her or gives off sexual comments. That's disrespectful and creepy.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X7PAYhmoKkA
Most guys still don't believe that confidence is important. It is proven in el vídeo. Looks only mattr when you first meet the person, then when you know the person and understand the things they can offer you like a great sense of humor, then you will start liking the person not because of their looks, but their personality. I noticed this when I started high school. Don't ever follow society's delusional "double standard" and you will succeed in the dating world.121 Reply
Asker+1 yOh look another BS video with paid actors. Stop me if you seen this ^ before.
Asker+1 yYou don't think those girls were paid? You must also believe in the Easter Bunny.
- +1 y
Are you a hopeless person who doesn't give a shit about how to improve himself? Do you really think your statement is true? That all those girls where paid? Of course not!
The channel would have so many unsubcribers if that happened. The channel would fucking fail if that happened.
Here is a short guy who has confidence in talking to women.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRY2l5jmIpo
Now do you believe that confidence can attract women? Dress nice and once the person knows you better than the personalidad takes over.
Asker+1 yWho's to say that guy didn't pay those women before he started filming? You have a lot to learn kid. Again another video with paid actors. You know deep down the guy in the fat suite and the guy who's short would never succeed in real life with women. Why? Because women value height and weight more than men.
Asker+1 yThe only way they'll succeed is if they were rich or good looking. And to prove to you and others here that confidence does not exists? When I would ask girls out years ago I would always get rejected. Now tell me if girls don't care about height and weight? Then why was I rejected all the time? That's because they do care about those things.
- +1 y
And you still believe confidence isn't important? You are hopeless and doesn't care to improve if you keep thinking that way. Unbelievable that someone would assume and generalize without complete evidence (dating every female on earth) and would treat all women badly and would ignore proven evidence that confidence is key and importance for a man. I don't know any other way to tell you but confidence exists and the majority of G@G would agree with this statement expept for the people who won't believe in it.
Asker+1 yNo I don't believe its important because if it was? I would of never been rejected all those times. And the majority of the people on this site are idiots who would commit suicide if this site disappeared.
Asker+1 yYou don't think this site is filled with a bunch of butt kissing hypocrites? Who will do anything to climb the totem poll if they had a chance?
- +1 y
That is fake
- +1 y
Or they gave him a fake phone number or they gave him their real number out of pity
Asker+1 y@Martin I agree.
Asker+1 yITS FREAKING YouTube. Do you have any idea how many people fake videos like that? Thousands.
Asker+1 yI don't even know who or what those are. And that's because your good looking.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIs this really so surprising? Guys aren't jumping for joy when ugly girls are into them either. I don't consider a guy a "creep" or "pervert" for a simple compliment, but obviously I'll like it if it's an attractive guy complimenting me.

Asker+1 yWhen do girls ever give guys compliments? Oh I forgot they only give them to Good looking guys. At least guys give them to all women.
Opinion Owner+1 yThey give them to guys they're attracted to, sometimes. And no, guys don't give compliments to all women.
Asker+1 yHow you sure about that? Your likely to see a guy give an ugly girl a compliment then the other way around.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYou do realise that the whole judging someone by their appearance thing is not new. Nor is it limited to a gender. Open your eyes.
In saying that its not right that people do this. Not at all. Unfortunately its ingrained in our society to do so. However, like in any place in the world, there will be exceptions to the rule. Find the exceptions.35 Reply
Asker+1 yI guess the exceptions are be tall, good looking and rich.
Opinion Owner+1 yEh. I dont give a rats ass about that. Good looks are temporary and money doesn't buy happiness. I think you're completely missing the point.
I'm saying find people that don't judge others by their appearance. Not an easy task but its doable.
Asker+1 yAnd pigs fly, unicorns are real and leprechauns are at the end of every rainbow.
Opinion Owner+1 yWell if you want to be bitter and angry so be it. But know its a choice that you make. You make your reality.
Asker+1 yThe point I was making is everyone values looks rather they admit it or not.

Asker+1 yBut I've seen how women respond to good looking guys giving compliments vs ugly guys.
Asker+1 yLets agree to disagree.
Asker+1 yThat's because the women on here making them feel like crap and putting to much pressure on them.
Asker+1 yReally? There are always women and girls here making rude remarks to the guys on here. Like accusing them of being unfaithful, cheaters, perverts etc.
Asker+1 yYou must only see things in a one way street? The majority of the things guys say to women get pulled faster then you can blink an eye whereas if a woman says something to offended the male gender it stays up.
Asker+1 yYes that along with comments and questions. You can't deny some of the things the women get away with here.
Asker+1 yBut the majority of the admins are female therefore females will stick up for their own sex.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yYou are aware that everyone is creepy until Ms. Gina shows up and gets moist. The moister she gets the lower your creepy factor. It's not a double-standard, it's biological shenanigans!
Asker+1 yTrue but it seems like good looking guys can get away with the creep factor?
Opinion Owner+1 yAbsolutely. After all humans would have died out millions of years ago if nature hadn't built a way for males to get around the natural defense of "Ew, wtf"
i think it's fair. just how when an ugly girl gives a compliment it is creepy but acceptable if a hot one does it
03 Reply- +1 y
Hum.. personally I don't find an unattractive girl creepy. A compliment is flattering regardless of if I'm sexually or romantically interested. The only way a girl could make me feel uncomfortable is if she stalked me or harassed me. (it has happened lol)
Asker+1 yEven ugly girls won't give compliments.
