Yes there is definitely a certain double standard. I have seen SO many good looking guys get away with the most ridiculous things and I don't even mean funny pickup lines or anything like that. I mean like literally unapropriate and unrespectful behavior or even straight up harassment but it works because the girl finds them cute.
I've been called creepy and obsessed simply for genuinely loving and caring about someone. Of course we all know love is a form of obsession, duh. But it's a negative obsession if you aren't their type and a positive obsession if they like you back.
Another example is how some will get offended if you just normally stare and/or smile at them. But if a good looking guy leers their whole body in an awkward and invasive way it's considered flirtatious somehow and no longer uncomfortable.
Of course I know not all girls are like this. But completely denying this phenomenon exists is really insulting intelligence lol.
Also I agree with JennaMarbles when she says everyone of us are all huge creeps, since creep really is just a pejorative term for being curious or interested. We just label people we aren't attracted to as creeps.

There are no double standards. It's all in their heads. I think it's just certain guys give off a certain vibe and the girls are turned off. I hate when people complain that they get treated differently because of their looks. People don't treat good-looking people better than ugly people. I talk from experience. I was born disfigured in the face, and people are so nice to me. Other than in elementary school, I haven't been made fun of. People are willing to do things for me. Yet I see girls or guys on here who don't have a disfigurement on here complaining about how they are treated because of their looks. I highly doubt it. A friend of mine who thinks she's ugly (she's not) had never had a boyfriend and she blames it on her looks. I've been in a long term relationship since I was 21. I just turned 28.
Girls definitely do not treat ugly guys and differently from good looking guys. They just need confidence.

I've never seen anyone get made fun of for their looks. I doubt you do, you're over the age of 25. I've known plenty of males who aren't the best looking who can get dates. One guy I know is both overweight and not so handsome in the face and he can charm girls. A lot of his handsome friends are jealous of the way he can get girls.
I've never questioned why people treat me so well. I'm sure they just want to be nice. Why feel bad for me? I have a good life.
lol but there is an undeniable correlation between looks and confidence/self-esteem. A good looking person will obviously be 100x more optimistic, confident and outgoing than someone who isn't a 9/10.
Yes I agree with you there are some people who look decent and somehow still think they are ugly. That's more related to personality disorders and/or depression I think which they have very little control over.
It's also extremely difficult or even impossible for someone to feel confident or good about themselves when they are constantly rejected, humiliated/called creeps and being made self concious of their flaws. Of course it's something most women cannot really understand because they rarely make the first step/break the ice so they do not get to experience the same kind of repetitive negative treatment and resulting downwards spiral of confidence/self-esteem. After a while even a good looking guy can start feeling unattractive if he keeps receiving negative feedback like this.

I didn't say they don't know what rejjection is. I'm sure women get rejected too but not as often and certainly not as harsh. Since women approaching guys is so rare we tend to treat them more respectfully when they do. Even when we aren't interested I think most guys still appreciate and feel flattered I think.
All unattractive guys don't give off the creepy vibe, only some do. As for the compliment comment, of course girls are more excited when an attractive guy compliments you. When a guy that I'm not interested compliments me I'm still flattered, but it means more to all people when the compliment is given by someone more attractive. No one ever said that looks don't matter.
