You know those guys who are relaxed and their nonverbal communication is amazing... they seem to "get it" as far as everything goes even though they don't seem too "bright"... alpha males also dominate more often than not.

These guys don't seem to be bothered by girls for the most part, if at all. Though some of them too agree that women are manipulative.

No. When you're confident you can get a girl elsewhere you don't get manipulated like that. The minute they try to play games you just move on to another one. If they try to use sex to manipulate you, you just get I from somewhere else. They can only manipulate desperate men. Also when girls try to knock your confidence you just find it funny that they think their opinion affects you at all when there are plenty of other girls who like you, in fact it says more about them and their insecuritiesthan you.

For example I got talking to a girl and she started trying to play games, she'd send dirty texts and suggest we meet up then make excuses not to turn up. The first time she didn't turn up I let it go because shit happens, the second time I decided I wasn't gonna bother because she didn't even make an excuse this time, didn't even get in touch. I got talking to this other girl, met her a few times (eventually got into a relationship with her). The previous girl got mad when she heard about this from someone else, all of a sudden she wasn't playing, instead she was mad and started trying to tell me I was ugly and pathetic and bla bla bla. I just LOL'd, I was getting my dick sucked elsewhere, why would I care?

Then there was a girl who tried to get me to pay for everything when we went on a date despite telling me that she was a strong feminist. In fact at one point she demanded I pay, so I just told her to piss off. Anyway at the end of the date she invited me back to hers with the usual "but we won't be having sex" (they always say that so they don't look like sluts). It would have cost me a lot to get a taxi so I agreed to stay at hers for the night. We got back and she said "it's bad that I've brought you back on the first date isn't it?". I replied "no not really, it's not like we're going to do anything is it?" and her face dropped lol. We went to sleep, then she texted me the next day asking for another date, I said I think we should just be friends.

Think in terms of goals and seek social fluency. Set out a goal of one thing you want to learn, then observe people who can already do it. How do they act, how do they move? What is their vocal tone? What is the girl acting/doing, what is she saying, how is she saying it?

So observe first. Then start testing by trying to emulate what you saw. You noticed he maintained strong eye contact? Then learn strong eye contact (short tip: focus on the nose between the eyes, don't move from eye to eye), when to break it off and how often, etc, then talk to girls using strong eye contact, see how they respond--then break down why, what could have influenced them, etc.

Go out and observe how a guy moves each body part, when he moves, why he moves. Do the same for women. Observe, emulate. Do the same for speech.

Observe, emulate, theorize, emulate. Repeat that cycle over and over.

If you desire to become fluent in the social arts, the first step is to move past your insecurities.

Emulate just one thing at a time. Don't try to learn how to hold good eye contact, great conversation, beautiful hand movement, etc etc at the same time. Choose one thing, determine exactly what you are going to try to learn, and then keep doing it until you understand it and it feels natural. Then go onto the next thing to learn.

Do it gradually, don't jump into the deep water immediately. Start in the shallows, acclimate, then go further. You won't be able to make progress in other areas of the social arts until you do this. Put yourself in social situations and anything else that puts you on edge.

Comparing yourself to them will only make you feel inadequate and undermine your efforts. Don't do it.

First, you need to shed your fear and insecurity. That is no way to go into an interaction with anyone, and if you go in believing that they can and will manipulate you--well you are going to run into a self-fulfilling prophecy. But if you firmly adhere to your own agency, manipulation ceases to exist. Know yourself better, know your values and what's acceptable to you, and have the balls to stick by your convictions. It depends on the girl and their ability to know how to keep him mesmerized by her spell - beating him at his own game, that is. One of the ways is looking like a billion dollars (think cat eyes!!) while being approachable yet mysterious. I had this one night where I decided to try and be that girl - and it actually came out better than I expected. However I find gals that sare alpha females are the ones who successfully mindf*ck/manipulates alpha males. The animal kingdom shows alpha males can be deceived, manipulated, and usurped. Alpha males aren't all-knowing beacons impervious to manipulation. If anything in my experiences/observations guys who think they know-it-all about gals and are oh so socially skilled tend to be the easiest to set up. I find the only almost guarantee to not fall for manipulation is to be indifferent and most guys are not they care about things mostly themselves and their pride/ego/alpha status.

I don't believe in the Greek letter nonsense, but to use the term alpha for the moment... I would not consider a man who isn't indifferent to a situation or it's outcome to be an alpha. I think learning not to care about any particular outcome is the mark of an alpha. To that end, alphas, male or female, are the least likely to be manipulated due to the lack of investment in a given interaction. That said, I still give the advantage to the male, due to an important gender difference--the biological clock. A guy can afford a greater expense of time.

Yes, children are what I was referring to. And while a male's sperm quality may decline (I actually love reading on these topics too), a woman loses her ability to conceive. That's a major difference. Plus, men are still attracted to --and can get-- younger partners to mate and have children with. That's much harder for a woman as she ages, although it is becoming more common, but if she can no longer conceive--well, her value on the dating market plummets from a macro, biological perspective.

So while individuals may or may not have an advantage in a given interaction, men in general will have more of an advantage at the top of the dating game from the macro, biological perspective.

1. I'm not seeing the major difference in guys conceiving unhealthy children vs gals not conceiving. It seems we have different views on having any kid no matter what than no kid.

2. Guys being attracted to and getting younger gals is a wash as gals are generally attracted to and getting older guys.

3. Many guys increasing do not want children so the plummeting dating value due to not being able to conceive seems more like your personal opinion. However many gals do want kids and I imagine they'd prefer healthy ones so when the male fertility decline is common knowledge...

So basically you premise of guys having more advantage seems to be they can still have kids despite the risks/delays to the kid and gals who can't desirability plummets (opinion).

I disagree that men are wanting children less--they are wanting marriage less, for a variety of societal reasons. Our biological motivations haven't changed, just our relationship to societal conventions. As for the desirability of the sexes at various ages, that isn't just my opinion, there is research on that. Men's preferred partner age remains around women in their early 20s (fertility link), whereas women prefer men closer to their age, but peaks around male age 35-40 (again, a fertility link). That said, what is true of a population at large may not be true for individuals, so there's plenty of room for disagreement on the personal level--plus, cultural changes also play a factor in shifting behavior, but that doesn't change biological preference (people can simply override biological impulses because of the ability to think and choose).

I agree sociopaths are more immune to manipulation and influence--they obviously run on different emotional wiring. That said, people who are not sociopaths, while they may be more susceptible to manipulation, are not by any logical necessity people who can or will be manipulated.

It comes dangerously close to denying a person's personal agency--while humans obviously can be manipulated, we are also ultimately responsible for our own choices and actions, and believing too strongly in another's persons ability to manipulate comes close to saying "he/she made me do it, he/she is responsible for the outcome of the chain of events, not me."

This is one reason why I disagree with many social theories--too much abdication of personal responsibility for an individual, too much blame on others.

The desirability of the sexes at various ages seems to be just your opinion as the research I've read shows gals prefer guys older than them not closer to their age.. at least for America.. Hence why the average American couple is the guy being 5 years older. So gals desirability doesn't really plummet as guys being attracted to and getting younger gals is a wash as gals are generally attracted to and getting older guys. A 40 old guy may desire a 20 year old but a 30 year old is likely good as well.
