Being handsome. Gift? Or Curse?

All of my life I've been told that I am a handsome guy. Both Women and Men have told me this numerous times. I'm not interested at all in men's behavior toward me (they usually just try to befriend me); it's women's behavior toward me that I just can't figure out. For some reason, I don't have any female friends. Everytime I try to befriend a girl, they either shy away or think I'm sexually interested. I know this doesn't sound too humble of me but I really want to hear your honest opinions. What do you girls do when you meet a guy you deem handsome? Do you try to befriend him? or Do you try to win his heart?

Do I really sound like a douche? I even posted this anonomously because I don't ever talk about my appearance. I don't like to flirt for fun, I don't take relationships as some sort of game, I'm not a player, for someone who has two sisters I know how to respect and treat women. I decided to ask this here because it's something I've never discussed with anyone and has been bothering me for a while now.

No, I don't see beauty as a curse. I think you're a very lucky man and you have to be very thankfull for it.
And I don't think it's that bad to not having any female friends. Maybe you'll find a woman who you will love and she would become your best friend, your lover, your wife, your everything.

You have been cursed!:) No, honestly-I am not intimidated by male physical beauty at all, because it seems that once you get to know these hunks, they are really not all they think they are. I am thinking that maybe the girls shy away or think you are sexually interested is because you are coming on too strong because you know you are good looking. If that is the case, cool your jets a bit and turn down your ego.

If it helps to understand my personality: first of all, I'm on this website to begin with. Most guys wouldn't give two cents as to what women think. And Secondly, I respect women because I know I wouldn't want my sisters to be treated wrongly by some random guy.

It's not your appearance, it's you're attitude and mannerisms. I guarantee it. Appearance can matter, but it pales in comparison to your personality to most women. I don't have enough data from your description to analyze what you're doing right or wrong... could you tell us more about how you interact with women, and what you think when you see women?
