Girl avoids sitting next to a guy?

If a girl who knows you like her avoids sitting next to you in class, does that definitely mean she doesn't like you?

Not always! It could mean I'm just too nervous. I get very very anxious around guys I like so I'll tend to be counter productive and sit further away than closer :/

It actually happened last year. I never ever sat next to the guy I fancied at that time. However with that said, I didn't know whether he liked me or not and he never gave me much signs either. If he did, I probably might have made more effort.

But if you know he likes you and he tries to talk to you and steals glances at you often, will you still be nervous?

As I said.. If i know for a fact he likes me then it is different but it's not always so easy to know this..

I wouldn't say that she doesn't like you. It might be the case that she is not very fond of you, but it could also mean that she actually is very consciuos about you and actually likes you, but avoid sitting next to you because she is nervous and don't know how to act. Depends on the person. You can never know for sure until you ask, or else look out for other signs!

I would assume it would be something like "things could get awkward" she just sounds like she is just trying to avoid situations where it could get really awkward between you two. Not a bad thing if she likes you to, she just might need to get use to your presence otherwise it could be bad, and she does that because she doesn't like you.

I would view that as a signal as she is uninterested and doesn't want to lead you on :(

Or she just might be super super shy, depends on her personality. If she's outgoing and nice and talkative, she's just dropping hints that she's not interested :(
