As an artist myself, it's nice to be with someone who can completely understand you (or at least understand you better than others). Creative guys do have a certain allure to them and many of them are so funny, thoughtful, and can describe you in ways you've never imagined. It's refreshing to see someone talented go after their dreams instead of conforming to society and getting a "normal" job and do the same thing every day for the rest of their lives.
With artists, there's a risk. There's a chance. They may not even make it, but I personally believe it's worth the ride. Though times are tough with little income, I value love and understanding over money.
they will most likely never make anything substantial... even popular local rock bands only make $100 per show... I don't have a traditional job... I am a CEO of a real estate development and investment company... I do something different every day... it's a "risk" but it's leveraged by the fact that I am intelligent... also I'm branching into exotic car rentals in about 2-3 years... also highly calculated risk...
that makes them different with you. You have you're own IDEALS as well as the them (the artists) it's just that they don't align. That itself is admirable, of course yours too. They just think differently and by different i mean like @Takada said "tend to be more in tune with their emotions". It is a feeling that can't be really described but both knows there is a certain spark. You could say why not use your intelligence and talent in this way, but the guy had a different experience that's why he thinks that way. His passion is more important than everything else which what makes him special. If the woman agrees to live with him despite all that (problems) then he's a lucky guy.

I believe that women who are attracted to that quality are treating guys like clothes and accessories. They only like it because of what others think. They believe being with that type of guy will make them look better or cooler (like when girls discover a new fad). Intelligence, in my opinion, is much more important. Talent is fine, but I look at it as more of a perk than a determining factor in regards to a relationship.
I guess they have passions and goals about something even if they are struggling they love something and want to make a job out of it not just take any job that comes.

But a rich, jealous, dull real estate guy isn't what every woman wants (some may be into that) and you should just accept it! Everyone has different taste. Music changes lives and inspires millions of people on a daily basis. It can really help those who are struggling or can help someone incredibly depressed get through another harsh day. Stop giving music lovers a hard time. Music can save lives and it can speak to the soul.

Because a guy who has a passion for something is attractive. It means he has other priorities except just getting laid. Plus, artists and actors tend to be more in tune with their emotions. They have to be, otherwise they can't translate it into what they do. I don't know about other women, but a guy who can cry when he is touched by something is incredibly attractive to me.

Im artistic and have been an artist and I will say that I can't stand artistic guys or the ones I've come into contact with so far. I attend an arts school and we all have this thing where we say to each other to never date someone from our art school.

I've never been into artists or actors, just musicians and only classical ones at that. It's appealing to me because I'm also a musician. But that doesn't mean he also doesn't have a regular job or a business. He needs to be able to support himself.
