Ford Crown Victoria -
Let's see how different genders percieve someone who drives this model.
FIRE AWAY!
What comes to mind?
My friend. He drives a crown vic. Here's a profile of him:
He's my age
He lives in an apartment, though he could have bought a home
He makes his living buying and selling Legos (don't laugh, he actually makes some good scratch doing this) and being a tour guide
His other car is an Audi (the one he usually drives)
He's travelled to many countries, though he only speaks English and Sarcasm fluently
He knows Vegas like the back of his hand
Until very recently he dated girls half his age
He's in a relationship with a very nice girl who sells realty insurance and does pretty good for herself.
He has a daughter from a woman he never married (they were incompatible to say the least) and he gets along with her very well.
He's a pretty good cook (not as good as me)
He's a technophile
He's a very funny guy
He bought the crown vic so that he could take it to distant, dusty places (he tends to baby his Audi)
He thinks Mac is heavenly and PC is blasphemous
My wife loved him as a friend and was constantly trying to set him up with her friends
A woman I dated recently also liked him a lot and tried to set her up with her friends
I've known him since high school
He's very intelligent and gets easily frustrated with people who aren't as smart as him
He's a gamer (all kinds: computer, playstation, board games, roll playing games, etc.)
He wanted to be an imagineer but that didn't work out
His crown vic is identical to the one in the pictures.
Aside from "He thinks Mac is heavenly and PC is blasphemous " I think this is a life goal !
That is a CVPI so the current owner will have bought it from a police or government auction. This suggests that he wants a rugged, reliable car given the uprated components used over the former civilian version.
Had you posted the civilian Crown Victoria, I would assume either an elderly man or a gung-ho younger man. The Mercury Grand Marquis version is virtually guaranteed to have an owner who is elderly, and enjoys the comfort, ride and wearing his hat while driving slowly. The Marauder means the owner is a total badass.
The fastest ways to spot a CVPI (since they are still very commonly used as unmarked/stealth cars) is the black radiator, black steel wheels with chrome caps, and the POLICE INTERCEPTOR badge on the back. This also works for the Taurus-based replacement that forces are adopting.
I should note that I use the Vapid Stanier (GTA V equivalent of the Crown Victoria) as one of my main vehicles online, because of its power and toughness :p
DING DING!
SPOT ON!
It's rugged but if it's reliable I don't know lol , them cop cars unless it's a sheriff car gets drove around 24/7 and cars aren't really meant to be driven that HARD round the clock. Been scooping around some of the cops forums online and hot damn even the cops recommend against buying one from auction lol
Anyway.
Power and toughness. My vehicle of choice in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit.
Can't argue with that lol
Myself personally is partial to the new fleet vehicles the... Ford Taurus. Saw some good stuff on YouTube , great power , at a great price.
I was thrilled to see the CVPI in Hot Pursuit. Alas, that's not a realistic game and so soon you're driving a Koenigsegg (complete with a silly tiny lightbar on its tiny roof) being told to smash a multi-million dollar supercar into another multi-million dollar supercar off the road because they're speeding.
The CVPI is fitted with tougher components to cope with the rigorous of continuous hard use, but they have a garage full of spares and mechanics. I'd guess that for the civilian owner, those parts could be expensive but on the other hand, they aren't using the car as much or as strenuously as the police. I did read a good comment from a cop who said the reason the cops liked them is they could be driven into or OVER something and keep going.
(contd...)
The new Taurus is reportedly not that much of a hit - the dashboard and seats (combined with the fact it's made to modern car standards) means there just isn't enough room inside for an officer and all the equipment he or she is wearing. It runs rings around the CVPI in terms of performance - however, a lot of forces have found the Explorer (Police Interceptor Utility) suits their needs better and is still far superior in performance.
Around here (Southern Ontario) it's still mostly CVPIs, a few Tauruses (Taurii?) here and there. Explorers are almost exclusively for supervisors only so far. The Chevy Caprice PPV was getting good reviews but I just saw that it's made in Australia by GM's Holden branch, and the factory is being closed in 2017 so that'll be the end of that.
Eh , never liked the "supercars"
They just don't have any... soul.
I prefer the iconic cars like the CVPI or 911 .
It ain't bout how fast you're going , it's about if you're doing it in style that's what's up.
Anyway well the Taurus can at least stand on its roof without crushing the driver so I suppose it's safer but yeah I guess you're right. Still!
"Is he a cop? Is he deep undercover? Is it a stealthcar?"
It's 'the car that no one dares to fuck with on cut in line well... or so from what I've heard.
It depends on the supercar. My favourites growing up were the Corvette and Firebird. I've always prefered practical or cool cars over just what was the fastest. I can appreciate that a supercar is fast but I'd rather have something I could enjoy and use every day.
I saw a ton of these this long weekend:

Well Corvette isn't really a "Supercar" ain't it?
It tries to roll with the European boys but end up just looking silly.
The C7 is promising tho.
Something you'll enjoy everyday... huh.
Ain't that Dodge and Ford territory?
I always had the perception that a difference in culture between the US and Europe carried over into cars. Europeans built cars for the aristocracy/super rich, while in the US they built cars that anyone could afford.
Something enjoyable and usable for your everyday life? A Corvette is one of those. So is something like an Evo 10 or a Impreza WRX STi, and likewise the Brabus/AMG tuned Mercs or M-series BMWs. I read an article somewhere that Lamborghini and Ferrari were trying to make it so their cars could be lived with too, if you really wanted to. EVO magazine put it to the test, their long-term tester found he needed special permission from his local supermarket in the UK to use their parent + child spaces as the normal ones were too narrow for his (I think) Murcielago.
My everyday driver was a Celica.
Yeah well an Evo and an Impreza are almost sedan sized with big boots and good ground clearance so they can clear off ramps lol
A vette is a bit too TRACKDAYBRO for it in't?
The Charger or maybe a Challenger , now those are your "everyday" car , BIG BOOT , lotsa space , BIG trunk but still GRUNTIE VROOM VROOM... Pray to the road gods that the roads are wide enough.
Celica tho. ooooohhhh
People kinda see it as a "lady's car" ain't it?
Kinda like the Miata. It doesn't have that angry frowny eyes and truck like grill where it goes GRRRRrrr...
A celica is just...
"hi"
It wasn't a GT Four, but it was still a nicer looking car than a freakin' Civic with plywood bodykit and a Chunky Soup can for an exhaust.
@Ihav2fart
Cars have faces tho :O
Thanks for MHO!
My Celica was post-facelift, so it had the mouth, not the nostril.

Just like its successor (the FR-S) it needed a better engine or a turbo.
I had a really long chase in a stolen 'Taurus' in GTA V last night. That thing is tougher than it looks!
OH OH OH!
Paint it rally color! White green and red!
As for the Taurus , tough enough to take any business on the road eh. Kinda wish it has grown eyes tho.
Frowny
It's an American car so I don't see it here but I'll give it a go.
I'd imagine it would a guy, who was probably a bit on the podgy side. He either has a decent, well paying job or he still lives with his mum. He doesn't have much of an interest in cars, he just gets a car that will take him from A to B. He's not very good with the ladies.
WULP!
Scroll down lol
Turns out we actually have a few Crown Vic owner in the men's section.
I'd think that person is pretty smart to have chosen the same car that cops drive, once I get a closer look and realize there are no bars separating the front seats from the back.
*sudden feelings of powertrips HNNnnnng POWAH
lol no.
Just thought of buying one that's all.
It does looks absolutely... beige doesn't it?
Very 'male' looking car
Something I'd expect your average lawyer to drive
lol , if there's a "male" looking car , does that mean there are "female" looking cars?
Anyway. Huh... lawyer's car. What cars do lawyers drive?
Can't explain the theory behind it but some cars look masculine and look like a man would be behind the wheel then there's girly cars which look feminine (mini cooper, fiat 500 ect). No idea cars what lawyers drive but could imagine one driving the one above.
and now to spill the beans.
That's a cop-car on auction.
Ford Crown Victoria (Police Interceptor)
Anyway... hmm...
So basically round headlights = lady's car huh.
ANGRY FROWNY headlights = man's car.
@Ihav2fart
Isn't an Infiniti just an expensive Nissan lol?
@Ihav2fart
Ahhh I'm just fucking with you bahahah lol
The truth be told I've had my eye on the Infiniti Q60 for a bit.
It be sexy!
... yeah that pretty much sums it up. Plus if the car has a happy face too that makes me like it more where as the ford crown is just like 😑
GOT THE CAR FUR YOU!

"How you doin' "
Creepy AND adorable. I love it.

Looks like a police interceptor car. The rims and the spotlight. That's the car I always see the North American police use so maybe the guy got it from a police surplus.
Yep! The old variant anyway , the police are updating their fleet these days so there's quite a bit of these things flowing around on the market.
He's a cop
Or at taxi driver
by the way are you familiar with the Mercury Maurader?
It's essentially a crown Vick with a 300hp engine 😄😄😄😄
Cheap high milage car from a government vehicle auction. Drivers side spotlight is a giveaway that this was a former police vehicle.
@Bluemax
Not in my experience. To keep the car weather tight, it's best to leave it in place.
I've got coworkers that have purchased such cars that were former State Patrol cruisers. I've also seen countless taxi cabs that gives away there origin by that light. I have yet to see such a vehicle sold at auction without the search light in place.
Someone that either is or wants to be in the police force, or an agent of some kind (undercover or not). That or maybe he got a good deal on a ride, and likes how it looks.

Yeah basically him.
I generally don't like to judge before I know someone but ok, I'll play. I would see him as shady and earns money on the side with drugs.
Well where I'm from you see a lot of "black individuals" driving it. Funny thing is the same people who scream fuck the police drive these things, he'll might've been the same car that transported them to jail lmao. But yeah ghetto ass car.
A regular guy. A guy who's saving up for a better looking car.
It's horrible, but it's a cop car yeah? Would make me think the guy is a dealer or involved in other nefarious activities.
not saying that would put me off though :)
I'm surprised all the guys figured out it was a cop car, I just thought it was ugly.
A family guy who has higher priorities than a great car.
(laughing)
Definitely NOT a man I would ever date.
I would think a cop drives a car like that
You're the only one in the ranks of gals who picked up on that lol !
A hypothetical pint of IPA from us guys.
A cop, of course :D
It's my dream car too. Pretty hard to find in Turkey though, and not sustainable economically with highgas prices though.
Someone who loves Ford panther bodies.
And AUTHORITY GETS HIM HARD FOR SOME REASON
OMG that whole review had me cracking up!
He ghetto and got that from an auction.
Hey mang , that 355 rear ratio is gud.
That's car's the LAW bro.
It's like the Ameateur Judge Dredd starter kit.
It used to be the law, now it's for those who want to impersonate the law!
The po-po knows dam well the general type that would buy the car. That type would be those that are up to no good ;P
But for reals though, if its your first car go for it. It isn't my cup of tea, but there's nothing wrong with it.
lol fuck no.
I mean.. I'm cheap but I'm not $500 1 day from end of auction cheap lol
Oh no.
I am getting something BIG... something BLACK.
nobody drives a Crown Vic by choice its ugly
Unless he has 20 guns in the trunk , wears soft bodyarmor to walmart and has a penis that is classified as a clit.
I'm pretty sure those were designed to be for government use something to replace the Ford piece of shit which i would rather drive then a crown vic but! i would still smash in a police car and enjoy ever sec of it cause well its a police car with sirens and lights do some hangover style shit haha
The Po-Po. Police. We don't have time for him.
Undercover cop? Detective? Lol.
Reminds me of a more bomb looking statesman lol
