Does anyone else feel uncomfortable being inside Victoria's Secret?

I mean, the products are beautiful and every time I step foot into the store I can't help but think of how great the stuff would look on me. Also, Im not necessarily uncomfortable being surrounded by images of scantily dressed women because in all honesty, I dont have any reason to feel jealous or envious of those skinny women. My body is pretty good so its not a body image thing. I just feel weird in the whole atmosphere of a group of women (and sometimes men) buying panties and bras. I know somebody is going to say "get over it" or "its stupid" but obviously im trying to get over it. I want to own lingerie and pretty things just as much as the next woman, but I have never bought anything from Victoria's Secret because I can't even pick anything up without feeling weird. My friend and I went in together and she wanted me to get measured so she could buy me a bra and I wanted to because I wanted that bra, but I never did. I just walked out and told her I would wait on the bench outside. I never feel like this buying undies from Walmart😭 whats up with me?

Hey I always thought that I was the only one, I have a great body but it's very awkard for me as well but my reason is slightly different. I tend to worry about the guys in the store undressing me with their eyes and putting the sexy lingire on me in their head and it makes me feel violated. Still I buy them even as uncomfortable as it makes me feel I still go through with it. I will say this once you get gutsy enough to say screw it and buy your lingire it gets a little easier each time but the discomfort continues still to say the least.

I don't feel uncomfortable, though I tend to order shit online because I hate busy stores.

It's likely just due to how many other women are present, it can feel awkward picking up intimate things that you and everyone else knows you are going to wear when you aren't familiar with those people. I just say go in on a non-busy day, get measured and buy shit online from there.

That's funny lol cause I feel the same way. Eespecially with Victoria secrets underwear because they don't really come packaged like Walmarts do. So you have to pick your underwear up one by one to see what it looks like and it's weird because then everyone knows what kind of underwear you're gonna be wearing.

Imagine being a guy and trying too find the right pair of panties and a bra too go with. I'm a guy but sometimes I wear panties and bras. I mainly just wear panties instead of boxers. Or if I'm going out I'll wear them underneath my boxers. I love the way they feel and I love the designs too

Reading your question details this occurred to me: It sounds like for you VS stores have a highly charged sexual vibe going on that you're just not comfortable with. Now, I know that you know that there isn't anything overtly sexual going on in one of those stores. But the association in your mind is still there and it makes you uneasy. When you look at, handle, or try on underwear at Walmart it's totally different. The sexual vibe just isn't there for you at Walmart.

i used to feel uncomfortable but only because i sort of felt like a perv being a guy standing in a store while women shopped for underwear. i remember one Christmas i wanted to get a girlfriend some lingerie. i asked a female friend to come with me so i wasn't just a dude sifting through underwear

Just think of it this way. If going into the store makes you feel discontent due to being surrounded by other's shopping for the same items. Then only go to VS when it's for you and only you. Don't walk in there thinking about anyone else, but yourself and also go by yourself. This way you can avoid talking to anyone, or keep it to a bare minimum. This way you'll be in and out without having to worry about other's. In a sense, just forget they're even there.

i think one reason your uncomfortable is because of the personal attention you get well there. at walmart there is no personal service. if you do get measured at V just remember that there's a chance sizes run smaller than at W (at least thats what my wife found out) so take the time and get measured and dont think about the number your given , just enjoy what you buy
