Why are young women so conceited?

Why do you think that girls aged 16-25 can be so conceited? What do you think is the cause of Princess Syndrome. Pleas provide elaborate and detailed responses.

It has more or less to do with age/maturity I think, as well as upbringing. I think you'd find this trait far more common in the west where they grow up so privileged they don't even realise how privileged they truly are. You often find this type in sheltered, rich families across the world, however considering the fact that most of the west is rich (compared to the rest of the world) its no surprise many become spoilt, entitled and conceited.

Also has to do with age, many teenagers and young adults still think "me, me me" all the damn time, and are often quite selfish and don't think much about being giving or returning favours, because all their lives as they've grown up they've just been given things all the time without having to do anything in return. Its only when they mature and get older when people stop giving everything to them that they start realising that not everything is going to get handed to them and the world doesn't revolve around them.
Some people realise this earlier than others through experience though.

I think it has to do with how they are raised. I personally like to think I am not conceited. My father taught me humility.

Bad parenting. Music, TV, movies, school... puts girls on a pedestal, with all these love stories where the man basically gives his life for the girl, catering for them and all that shizz. With bad parents not telling them all that is crap for entertainment and that real life is way different, you end up getting girls who think they can just do nothing and have men flocking towards them and doing all sorts of things.
Then with the rise of single mothers, we end up with young girls getting brainwashed into the "You need no man" shizz. Into the "if he ain't finna take you to a steakhouse for the first date and then on a balloon ride, he ain't no gentleman. Dump his ass. You a kweeeen you don't settle fo' less" shizz. So you have young women who don't know how to deal with life and especially with men.

Girls at that age are told that women control relationships through sex and that women age 16-20-25 are the most desirable sexually. If you tell someone they have all the power, they will begin acting as if they have all the power.

But not ALL girls that age are conceited, are they?

They're often getting treated better than other people because they're pretty and young. Plus they're insecure and feel like they have to compete with all other girls for status and the attention of the most desirable men.

Women have always had more power in our society than they would like to admit. Now, young girls are being encouraged to take advantage of it and boys are being discouraged from doing the same.
