I certainly don't hate any women, but from what I've seen men are feeling less and less needed. The phrase "I'm a strong and independent woman and I don't need anyone" is a lovely idea but it carries some quite depressing implications for men. The very definition of man is someone who is capable of taking care and protecting his wife/gf/partner. The moment a woman says "I don't need a man to take care of me", the role the guy has accepted in nature becomes meaningless and all of his willingness to make sacrifices loses it's value. Men have never had any problems admitting we need help from women. Are you kidding me? Thank God for women! But when an entire generation of (very vocal) women treat us as if we're some sort of enemy and tell us to get lost when we're genuinely interested in them... well you get where I'm going. I've seen women react with such hostility toward a well-meaning decent men that the guys don't even want to approach them anymore. Some women want equal rights but not equal responsibility, which can definitely rub guys the wrong way (understandably so). Not all women are like this, but some guys have the impression that all of us are.
Some men think women are manipulative, or too high maintenance to bother with.
Some men think women are too picky, but they usually think this just because they're frustrated that they're not in a relationship. They often don't realize that men are picky too and we don't get every guy we want either.
the problem is that women overvalue themselves due to hypergamy, this works in a free society where we dont artificially elevate women so we can become "equal", when we give women the illusion that they are mens equal with all the tax money and help programs and laws in place, they suddenly dont have to take responsibility for their actions and they only go for the highest level guys who are in reality to good for these women, but these men will still fuck these women but not settle down with them, so no one gets what they want in the end expect the top tier guys and a few lucky girls.

You may not see it because you're a guy who personally doesn't behave that way, but as it's hard for me to realize that there are women who act the way you've described since I personally don't act that way. But there are many guys out there who overvalue themselves in exactly the same way. They set impossible standards, expect to be with a supermodel when that's not in their league at all, and then they get frustrated and turn bitter towards women because they can't find a girlfriend. You see it all the time, especially in places like this site. Guys come here asking "Why can't I get a girlfriend?" and it turns out that they're entitled brats who think they deserve to date the hottest girl on the planet, even though they have nothing going for them. Both genders really have a similar issue this way. But it doesn't apply to every individual.

sorry but while there might be a small minority of guys like that, its far more common trait in women. Its a reason why hypergamy is a established concept in women, its based on instinct. females want to date up, they want a male who is better than herself because she needed that for reproductive reasons, this has through sexual selection and evolution resulted in the average man being significantly superior to the average woman, who "compensates" their lack of capability with their ability to give birth. But if women where held to the same responsibility as men an average woman would be happy yo date an average man, because they both bring equal value to each other. However today the government gives women so much aid which makes them less reliant on men, and thus this balance is destroyed, and women are free to be as hypergamous as they want which is why childbirths and marriages rates are dropping, because women are overvaluing themselves.
@alphadoggystyle To me, it seems far more common to see that in guys. I think it's just a difference of perspective here. It's really hard to be objective about these types of things, because each of us will always only know what it's like to be part of our own gender, and what it's like to see the opposite gender through our eyes, not our own gender. The best we can do (without rigorous, meticulously crafted scientific research that is specifically designed to overcome all bias) is to say that people of both genders can be this way. If you see it more in women, that's great, but I see it more in men. Which gender does it more often isn't really the point anyway- it's bad when anyone behaves that way.
sorry but you are wrong again. Hypergamy is an established fact, observable in other mammals as well, and biologically it makes sense why women have developed it. So you saying you see it mostly in men is either you being blind by confirmation bias or just lying because you dont want to admit that you are wrong. But guys definitely do not do this nearly as much as women do, its a well known fact that men have lower standards/requirements for casual sex compared to women, and when it comes to relationships, guys usually only have slightly higher requirements when it comes to looks but women have overall higher expectations as they judge us on more factors, height, status, wealth, more picky with personality etc.

First of all, i did not come up with this reason or concept, scientists did long ago. And studies on tinder matching and other types on dating all support the fact that women are way more picky than men, and overvalue themselves. There are plenty of empirical evidence for this if you look for it on google it is easy to find. And that kind of evidence is far better than any anecdotal experiences.
And this is not something society can just get over, its going to have long term bad effects in terms of childbirths. Its part of the reason why western countries allow so many immigrants to enter, because they need male workers to sustain society when the next generation of the native population will be to small.

That can increase pickiness a lot when it comes to online dating. I don't believe that online dating is necessarily a good representation of normal/ in person dating.
I dont think safety or fear in online dating has any relevance on wheter a woman will find you attractive enough to respond to you or to swipe right on you to match. Because they pretty much only have looks to judge by and looks can deceive and same with texting. a woman who finds me attractive on tinder is not going to avoid swiping right on me because she is afraid i might be dangerous, if she even intends to meet any of the men she matches with she will of course be able to pick a public spot at first where she is unlikely to face any danger. So i very much doubt that influences their pickiness.

You have to do an incredibly good job of crafting your profile in order to make yourself sound like an actual person who is worth getting to know, and not like a boring slob who may or may not be a creep. Yes, that sounds really harsh, and it's probably unfair a lot of the time. But when your first impression of someone is an unflattering photo and a laundry list of generic qualities, it's hard to want to put in the effort to get to know them. That's the reality of online dating. I'm well aware that it's harder on men than on women, and I sincerely believe that it's not representative of offline dating.

Men are not so critical on the way a woman is texting and if a guy is interested enough to text you he is most of the time willing to meet you unless you say something absurd. Women can talk to you for a long time and then stop responding, its very common.
the main differences between meeting someone online or in real life first is pretty much only that you have a better perspective about a persons personality and overall behaviour in real life, but a woman will be just as picky here about wheter she will walk away or remain and chat with you, if it gets stale or boring its pretty much over most of the time unless the guy is really goodlooking, but a guy dont really care about stuff like that as long as the girl is goodlooking and showing some interest.

I've never used tinder, but I have used other dating sites that rely on users to look at people's profiles and choose whether or not to contact them. I genuinely believe that women are pickier online than they are in person. I know I am, at least. And I know other women are too, from my discussions with them.
So you think a guy who is physically attractive to you based on his images, can be percieved as creepy without even texting with him, just based on his user profile? on tinder at least which is the most popular dating app, most people have very short descriptions. So if you are that sensitive to percieved creepyness, and you argue that most women think like that, then you are essentially admitting that women are more picky than men. And since you base creepiness only on a presentation of a profile i highly doubt a woman is going to be less picky in real life where men can be considered creepy for just looking at a woman, or for approaching them.
Sorry but your argument is really razor thin, and even if women where less picky in real life than online, there is still nothing to suggest they would be equally picky to men, everything points to men still being far less picky in real life.

It may not apply to everyone, but you have to admit that meeting someone online is a very different experience from getting to know someone in person. I don't necessarily assume that guys are creepy based on their profiles, but I find it much more difficult to appreciate someone's positive qualities when I am meeting someone online than I do when I am meeting them in person. Plus, flirting over text or online messaging can come across a lot more lewd than it does in person, so it's easier to feel like guys are moving too fast or jumping to sexual topics too quickly. That's happened to me a lot. I really do experience online dating very differently than offline dating. Take that as you will I guess.
the very fact that being sexual quickly is an issue for women, is another hint that women are more picky. And again, nothing is stopping women from matching with a lot of guys but still only talk to very few of them and meet even less of them, this study only compared the ammount of matches two model attractive people of each gender got in the same ammount of swipes and time. So the only thing that mattered there was physical appearance.

If men dont care much wheter a woman is sexual early in the dating process or not (which is true, most men dont care) but most women do care and will often reject a man if he is too forward, then that is another piece of evidence that women are more picky.

it doesn't matter, because some women find it uncomfortable to move forward to fast regardless of who the guy is, since technically if they are in the early dating phase they cannot really know who the guy is as a person. And other women find it uncomfortable to move forward with certain guys while they are happy to do it with other guys, and in such cases it is pretty much only dependent on how attractive the guy is (primarily in terms of looks, wealth and status)
in both cases that is still being more picky than the average guy is, since the average guy doesn't care much if a woman is comfortable with being intimate or forward early in the dating regardless of what type of girl it is, as long as he is physically attracted to her.

not everything is based on opinion, some things are objectively true and some things are objectively false. In this case you are objectively wrong when you say that women wanting to move slower is not evidence of them being more picky.
Men will rarely if ever dump a woman he is moderately interested in regardless if things move slow or fast in the beginning. A woman will quite often dump a man she has moderate interest in if he moves forward to early in the dating phase. You even admitted this was true, so essentially you admitted women are more picky without realizing it, as seemingly you dont know the definition of being picky.

Women are pickier overall and the studies i mentioned earlier about online dating as well as various polls all point heavily in the direction of women being pickier. whenever there is a question about what traits you look for in your partner comes up, women always have a longer list than men do. Evolutionary biology also confirms this to be true.

because the balance has been disturbed with the change to society and with feminism. females where picky as an evolutionary trait to get someone who could protect and provide for her and her future offspring, this is why males evolved into better versions of females, and lacked the limitations that comes with a body that is required to be able to give birth.

There's also a really big flaw in this whole idea. Even if women are getting pickier, they're still dating, getting married, and having kids. Regardless of how picky they may or may not be, they are eventually choosing someone. It's not like no women are getting married or having kids these days. Maybe not every woman chooses to have kids, but not every man wants kids either. It has never been the case that every person reproduces. And it will never be the case that no person reproduces. So how exactly is the population in some kind of dire situation?
No, voting and having careers is fine, im just saying that if you look deeper you will see empirical evidence that proves men are the primary producers of wealth in all societies, including western "equal" societies. and as a result also the primary tax payers. i can provide source if you need it.
many of the laws we have in place are preferential to women, such as quotation laws and divorce laws, as well as things like alimony and child support. Now i will say that i do support child support laws but not any of the other stuff. Also courts show very obvious bias towards women as the victim class, and usually give them lesser punishments for the same crime compared to men. Women have more shelters and help programs, most of the government spending is done to help them in various ways, all throughout school all the way into the workplace.
and yeah im aware most women end up settling for a guy when her fertility window starts to close, when her looks start to fade after she failed to land a top tier guy for relationship/marriage. This is because women dont handle loneliness as well as men. Many women however still refuse to settle for less than they feel entitled to and those end up alone, crazy cat-ladies etc.
And shrinking population at this rate is bad, it should always remain around replacement rate, otherwise we will have a huge deficit in the workforce for the next generation which means things will get unsustainable unless they let in a lot of migrants into the country to do all the menial jobs. but the problem with that is that these immigrants need support from the welfare state to get integrated, so even that cannot be sustainable. Eventually the government will go bankrupt and society will collapse.
@alphadoggystyle So men shouldn't have to support their children? I'll agree that some divorce and alimony laws may favor women unfairly in an outdated way, and I'd be happy for that to go. But child support? Come on. Also, women ARE victims of rape and serious domestic violence more frequently (not all the time, but more frequently). So a greater focus on help programs for those types of issues might be justified. Not saying we shouldn't worry about men too, a lot more than we do currently. But not all of this is nearly as ridiculous as you're making it out to be.
I already said that i do support child-support laws, it makes sense. But your last point about women being a victim in more cases in terms of violence. As i told you, in a free and completely fair society that put the same responsibility and expectations on both genders, women wouldn't get special treatment just because they are weaker and thus an easier target, which is the reason why they are more commonly subject to violence. This is just one of those examples but there are many others, however the point is, either we treat women the same as men or we give them special aid to protect them but also admit that they are the weaker gender that needs special help.

Good, then you should be aware of the many issues with the laws that exist today that is artificially elevating women to "equality". Most of these things need to go away, and the overall media representation of men needs to change, womens issues should not be the focus all the time. less money spent on them is a good start. Every person should have their basic human needs met, and in order to do that, we need to hear from every group and respect their perspective about what those needs are. Giving less authority to needier groups would be counterproductive, because as a rule humans are horrible at empathizing and horrible at speaking for each other. I don't see how the fact that women are more likely to get raped translates into them deserving less say in what happens to them/their lives/our country in any logical way.

Our society is not set up in a way that allows people to simply "take" what they need. But you are compensated in many ways for similar things, the extra medical care that is needed for women, and things such as birth control and the right to abortion etc, is payed for by tax money, and men are the primary tax payers, men pay tax for things that they dont need or will ever use but women need. if you scrap taxes from tampons they will need to add taxes on something else to compensate, otherwise they won't be able to afford all these welfare programs and other things they spend the budget on, and the government already spends far more money on women than they do on men, while men pay significantly more tax because we produce more wealth during our lifetime.
So no, if men also had periods, tampons would still be taxed for sure, men have always had more responsibility than women and the government rarely if ever make things beneficial to men on purpose because men are looked at as expendable compared to women.
And when i said "Take" things for themselves, im saying you should work for it yourself. For example, men got the right to vote around 50 years before women because we agreed to conscription into the military. So we risk our lives for the right to vote. Expensive items dont sell in large numbers so it might not be possible to handle it that way. There's no reason why women should have to bear a disproportionate responsibility for that. Yes, men can wear condoms, but many men complain about them and resist wearing them. And vasectomies are an option too, but men typically don't choose that unless they know they never want kids. Hormonal birth control that women use is the most effective contraceptive that is commonly used, and frankly, it's also the most beneficial by men and the most desired by them. So I don't see why men would complain about making it affordable and accessible for women.
As i said, birth control and abortion are technically not "needed" since we managed to live just fine without them before they where invented by men. But of course they are beneficial, but they are far more beneficial to women than they are to men, as i said women are the ones who ultimately decide if a man wants to become a father or not, and there are other ways such as condoms, vasectomy is not reasonable to expect a man to do since it makes him sterile, however other forms of birth control for men are on their way.

For one thing, many women use birth control for health reasons. And for another, preventing pregnancy is necessary for allowing women to have education and career opportunities. I think most men would be much happier to promote accessible birth control than they would be to see every woman who's not actively trying to become pregnant start practicing abstinence. And if it's "not reasonable" to expect a man to get a vasectomy, then as a society, we're turning towards birth control for the benefit of both genders.
I like how you are completely ignoring the legal issue and the lack of choice for men. Vasectomy is permanent so of course it cannot be compared to birth control pill, my argument is essentially that since women benefit more from birth control and abortion than men do, they should pay more for it than men should. But technically its the reverse as men pay more for it as it is now than women do. Fortunately there will be new and more versatile options for men in terms of birth control in the future, such as vasalgel.

It's hard to know where to start. Before I do though, I must mention that I'm in a happy relationship and am engaged to one of the very few good women I've ever met. This doesn't come from being a bitter virgin or because I can't get laid or whatever, just my experiences with women in general - and obviously I don't mean ALL women. I also don't think that modern men are faultless either, but this is a question about women.
Equal rights without equal responsibility is a big one. So many women here for example are all for equality, except when inequality benefits them - then all of a sudden they're "traditional ladies". It's just annoying to see feminist women say they expect a man to pay. They complain about inequality elsewhere, then they mock and insult guys who complain about this and act all smug because they know they can get away with it. It's just blatantly hypocritical and very annoying. Even worse is when they downplay other more serious male issues such as domestic violence or even become hostile towards men who bring it up. One I saw recently was where they downplayed the effect of paternity fraud on a man, and said that if he would leave a woman with a child, who'd lied to him that he was the Father when he wasn't, that he's a heartless asshole. As if his pain doesn't matter. Then you have bias in divorce courts, child custody, again women don't seem to care that these things are unequal, they take advantage of these things and call men who complain about it losers.
In dating, they do often choose the wrong guys and reward bad behaviour while shitting on nice guys. I don't mean to say that women should be forced to go out with boring guys, wimpy guys etc. But I see genuine guys get shit on all the time and these assholes who girls go for, then complain when it goes to shit. These women again mock guys who mention this, one girl here just mocked guys who say they were dumped for being "too nice" - I actually was once told that bu a woman after she cheated on me. As for expectations, high expectations are good if you yourself can give the same value back. Many modern women though do not. An example, a friend of mine just broke up with his girlfriend over this. He works 12 hours a day 7 days a week, she works 10 at most, they have a kid too. She spends all of his money on jewellery, furniture, clothes, her nails, her hair etc. She demands a new, big, expensive house with more bedrooms than they need. That idiots allows her to get away with it and goes along with it, so he is partly to blame. Having said all that she must cook his dinner, clean his clothes/house, and help him out as much as she can right? No, in her words "she isn't his slave". She expects so much from him, and gives little back. Many modern women are like this. They have a lost of expectations of a man as long as their arm, and a lost twice as long of things they won't do for him in return.

Another thing I forgot to mention about my friend's situation. They broke up, and she immediately started showing off to her friends that she's gonna use the kid against him, stop him from seeing his own kid. Another girls also said that she admitted to "trapping" the guy by pretending to be on the pill when she wasn't. I've known so many women like that, and it's a terrible thing.

I think @mistixs is on to something there. Many women "want to have their cake and eat it too" when many don't realise that with more "power, come great responsibility" too (yes, I reference Spider-man on purpose).
