I didn't say hi to my crush today?

I saw my crush today and I usually talk to him, but I couldnt bring myself to say hi. He saw me before what i did, and didn't say hi, although to be fair, qe werent lose enough. He is a little older than I am and he was with two other people so it was very hard for me. Anyways, he was sitting with those two other people and I went to ask the girl a question, without even looking at him. He looked at me but I couldnt bring myself to look him in the eye. I asked the girl the question I had and just awkwardly walked away. Oh yeah, right when I came his sister was like two seats behind him calls his name and he looks back but turned back to look at me. I feel really bad about it because he gives me hugs and stuff and I've liked him for such a long time and we known each other, but I still couldn't say hi. I think he realizes that I have a really shy and calm personality. What do I do know? Do u think he got the wrong message? We glance at each other a lot and he sees me. What can I do to fix this? Girl, I am scared to death when I see my crush. I pretend I can't see him, pretend I don't like him, etc. But I realized that if you just hide your feelings from him, there's going to be a day when he gives up. My crush has asked my to hang out with him and his friends multiple times, he compliments me, talks about me with his friends, and he used to look at me in the hallway, smile, and say hi. But because I didn't give him too much to work with, he seemed quieter. He doesn't look at me anymore. But when I talk to him, he looks me in the eye and smiles. Could you please help me. I am a guy and there is this girl that I kind of know. We did not come across each other for a month or so and suddenly one day we run into each other. Maybe due to this we were both very surprised to see each other. We kept looking at each other for few seconds and finally I gave a smile and said “hi”.

There are two things you can do:

Oh my God that is so true. Hi means nothing. If he's interested in her ( which I think is highly possible) he would think that you know about his feelings for you so your trying to distance yourself from him to avoid leading him on or you just plan hate him.
