Are Korean girls really that controlling?

All my Korean guy friends or other guy friends say not to date a Korean women as they are very controlling over who their bfs friends are, especially in terms of girl friends. One of my friends married a Korean girl, had to get rid of his best girl friend, has to go home by 5 30pm, etc.

I do mean Korean girls who grew up in Korean. Obviously western Korean girls would be different.

Everyone's different but my friend dated a Korean American girl and she was the worst girlfriend he ever had. She was abusive and condescending, hypocritical, nonsensical and down right mean. He was gonna throw a party to celebrate their break up lol he stays away from all Korean women and tells our guy friends to never date Koreans, those from Korean and those born in America

One time, he told her he was gonna hang out with his friend he hasn't seen in years. First she made a big deal and said no. Then last minute said yes. Then after assuring him it was ok, he went. He came back from the party to a shit storm. She blew up that he went to see his friend... after she assured him she was okay with it. So yeah, some are controlling. But she could've just been crazy and It's nothing with her race. But after her, he swore off Koreans

There's obviously no point in generalising an entire culture that way. This is especially true if the Korean women you interact with live and grew up in the west. However I have andectotal experiences that suggest that korean girls in korea could be more possessive on average. This is mostly due to the differing dating culture as well as more traditional gender roles.

No idea, but to be fair shouldn't your wife be your best female friend?

It sounds reasonable to get rid of best female girlfriend or maybe just don't contact her as often.

it comes down to the individual... i know of some chinese ladies (hong kong specifically) that are the same. every couple functions differently.
