Are Indonesian girls prude?

So I was talking to an Indonesian girl and she told me her parents wouldn't be happy if she slept with someone even with intentions of marriage. It felt like she was completely prude to me. In comparison I know a few girls who told me contrary and in fact said their parents would be happy if their daughter was with a caring loving man and would be happy if I met them and slept with their daughter.
So, is it culture or something else?

all Muslims follow Islam but they don't all follow Arab culture, Iranians follow Iranian culture, and Turks follow their own culture.
But I don't understand why South and Southeast Asians start insulting their ancestors' culture just because they are following a religion.
