Girls, Emotionally distant during period?

I know this is an unsavory question to ask. But do you become emotionally distant and unaffectionate during your period? I ask because my girlfriend has been distant the last few days I know it's around this time of the month. I know she's also been really busy. But do you become distant during your period?

During my cycle my depression is increased or becomes more prominent. I feel distant and usually can't connect to anyone but my daughter. If o have hot flashes I will also feel irritated. It's no one else's fault but - get on my nerves and it only makes it more difficult. I don't get angry usually, like I did when I started having hormonal cycles a year and a half ago.
HOWEVER, I actually become more affectionate and would gladly show it if there was somebody to show it to.

Depends on the woman, but when it comes to your girlfriend that might be the case. That and just stress from whatever she's been busy with. I can be like that sometimes so I understand the frustration.

As always there will be some women who do, and some women who don't.
You need to remember that a women's period can be so totally different to another's.

Being on our period is not something we enjoy. I like to be distant during my period because I'm easily irritated and snap at people for nothing

i can get moody so that could be it, but typically its really erratic too so really cranky then sooooper affectionate

Yeah it can happen. Periods can make girls overly emotional and some girls just prefer to be by themselves during it. I hate being around people when I’m on my period.
